Publisher's summary

For all you gullible people out there: Yes, there are lots and lots and lots of scams. And you’ve probably fallen for one or two in the past. If not, great. If you have, then this is just another reason to listen to this guide: so you won’t fall into the snares of the scammers ever again.

In this audiobook, the sad, bad side of society will be highlighted. The obscure will be exposed. The sneaky snake oil salesmen will be called out for what they are. Among others, you’ll learn more about rental scams, internet scams, online dating scams in particular, how older people get scammed, publishing scams (ironically), Nigerian prince scams (not racist, it’s just a term), and so many other projects to take your money, trust, attention, or something else, and give you nothing substantial or valuable in return.

Do you want to learn more? Then don’t wait and start listening.

Cool

I loved the cover, and i was intrigued by the topic. So I picked this book up (not literally, of course) and started listening to it. And guess what? It's actually pretty good! You get greater insights into all the thousands of scams out there. Duh. Yes, I recommend it, because nobody wants to be fooled and look back and see that they lost a thousand bucks over something that was obviously dishonest or simply underdelivering while overpromising.

Interesting book

Much different from a lot of other books I've read. That's why I liked it. Scams are everywhere. Watch out.

A Few Good Tips

I liked the international county specific examples and testimonials. I liked that even though I study fraud there were several I was not aware of yet.

I disliked the repeating of common sense advice until it became patronizing, much of the information already outdated, minimal guidance on what to do when scanned.

I would recommend this book to a vulnerable older person and anyone online or traveling with a naive nature or cognitive impairment
