Publisher's summary

My mortal enemy seduced me in disguise. I barely survived an attack from his jealous wife. If I can save Isis and find a way to untangle the threads of Fate, I might be able to stop Zeus before he purges all magic from the world, with the aid of his beautiful and treacherous winged hunters. All I've got is a hellhound and a fallen angel and a pantheon of brooding, forgotten Greek gods.

Interesting

This was an interesting continuation of this story, but this book was much darker than the rest of the series so far. I still enjoyed it, but I am hoping things look up a bit more in the next book. I can't wait to listen to the next story!

This got dark.

It's been a few years since I read the last book in the series. I didn't do any rereads but was still able to get into this one and remembered the important stuff. The only negative was that is didn't really have the romance element anymore, but that had a lot to do with the dark stuff that happens. Let's just say Zeus being Zeus.

I was not expecting that part at all, but it led to a killer ending, figuratively and metaphorically, because one of the baddies dies.

I though this was the last book in the series, but there is gonna be one more. And she was given more reasons not to kill Zeus, as if keeping Citri alive wasn't enough. All the elements from previous books is starting to come together, and she even learned how to weave souls together in this one.

I'm looking forward to the next book.

Manipulation at its finest

The title clearly states what’s going to happen in this book, but I denied it all till the very end. We see the aftermath of the betrayal and awful thing that Kai discovered in the last installment. I just wanted to hold Kai and gosh often times I wanted to slap and yell at Kai a few times for her hesitation on certain matters. Like ending someone’s life. He shall not be named.
Hera and Kai’s battle was great to witness and that ending!! Can’t wait to see what happens next. I hope the fates know what they are doing.

An entertaining modern mythological adventure

Sapphire Betrayal is the entertaining fourth book in the series about mythological gods and a girl with powers from the Fates. This is a good book, but there were moments that had me practically screaming at the main character for hesitating to act at crucial moments. The ending has me anxiously awaiting the next audiobook.

The narrator of the audiobook series is pretty good, but I found her voice a little grating this time around.

I received a complimentary copy of this audiobook. This is my honest and voluntary review.
