Whisked me away!

I really enjoyed this easy beach read. The setting brings you right in and the story lines keep you interested in finding out what’s next. I’m hooked and can’t wait to dive into the next book. Beach book readers put this on your TBR!

I love the Narrator!

The story is not something I usually try and get involved in, a series in general is not usually my cup of tea. I am going to give the next book a try and see if this is something I can get into more. just seems like the typical wish I could move away and start somewhere fresh story.

The new age attitudes of the central character stood out the most and for this Evangelical Christian was a serious eye-roll.

I liked the ending with a predictable conclusion, however the narration was so annoyingly breathy and never let up almost made me turn it off.

Good character development of Teddie and Olivia.

Somewhat sappy and cheesy. Condescending characterization, almost childish style. The last 6 or 7 chapters were the best plot development. I’ll probably listen to the other books. Sanibel doesn’t have a boardwalk, just lots of bike paths.

Enjoyable read

I really enjoyed this book. It had a good story and no gratuitous sex. As a matter of fact, there was a couple of budding romances, but nothing beyond that. Just a good story about the family we make for ourselves. I can't wait to read the next story!

It was fun to listen to a story set in one of my favorite places. I liked that the characters were multi-generational.

A must read or listen!

I would highly recommend listening to Ms. Holloway’s other series “ “ in the Keys. She brings to life characters introduced in that series in her Sanibel collection. It’s a great way to hear about how character’s evolved.

A little mystery with family

The story was fun. Started sad but ended happy and a bit of mystery that a private detective found but the outcome was great

The narrator pronounced two words incorrectly in my book and then I checked with Google To make sure I learned them correctly and yep I did learn them correctly. Lantana - a flowering plant all over southern states and Rattan - a type of plant used to make ‘beach’ furniture.
