Publisher's summary

Sandstorm: Publisher's Pack 2 contains the final two books in the Sandstorm series!

Dustborn, Book 3:

Danger comes in many forms.

Tired, dirty, and sick, the Red Rock survivors eke out an existence on the Watchers' cliffs, hoping to avoid the monster. But life up high is almost as bad as life on the ground. Water is scarce, and no meal is guaranteed.

And deep inside the tunnels, a new threat is building, something that might consume them all....

War Torn, Book 4:

To survive or to die?

Facing threats in every direction, Neena, Kai, and the Right Cavers struggle to stay alive. Meanwhile, Bryan and his marchers confront The Abomination, while Raj endures a personal crisis.

Will anyone survive, or has the Red Rock colony reached its end?

Interesting but not great.

The performance was good but I found the interactions between the characters a little unrealistic and hard to believe.

sandstorm pp 2

As always Piperbrook has left me wanting more ! I have listened to every audiobook he has to offer and never been disapointed! Please give us more Mr.Piperbrook! Exciting story line from beginning to end! Run to get sandstorm books 1-2 and then 3-4! Its one of his shorter works but so well worth the price!

Great story!

Excellent dystopian series! Definitely one of T.W. Piperbrook's best I've listened to! Sad to see it end already, but I'm excited to see what he's working on next! Scott Brick does an outstanding job with the narration, but that's no surprise! Brick is awesome!

I enjoyed this series, except...

Two of the characters expressed way too much regret for their actions. People die, actions have consequences, but to have these two characters continually blame themselves is just too much. When one of them would say “it’s all my fault!” I found myself thinking “of course, why not blame yourself again! I liked the story, but preferred listening to secondary characters.

Good Story

Most sequels are bit very good but this was pretty good. I won’t read another series of this if it comes up it will ruin my review.

So painful

The first 2 books were promising. The third was just ridiculous and so sloggingly slow, the fourth was just a mess. The characters are ridiculous (except for the main ones) and I still find it hard to believe a 10 year old child (Raj) acts/thinks the way he’s portrayed. Just save yourself the trouble and don’t listen.

First book was clean, then this had a sex scene

It is rather annoying to start a new book series and think you have found one that is free from sex and clean other than violence only to find out that mature themes are introduced in later books. That happened with this book and it is too bad because I really like Scott Brick as a narrator.

Decent

I don’t regret the purchase but I’m not calling my friends and family to tell them to read this one. Author developed some characters, but not many. Too many main characters felt like they were given a superficial attempt when developing them. 3/5 is probably a bit generous of a rating.
