Publisher's summary

The battle for Echo Hold begins, the Uyumaak throwing their might at the fortress. The birth of the Holy Child draws near, and the Chalaine and Padra Athan try to prop up the Ha'Ulrich's failing courage so he can face Mikkik when the time comes. Gen, still separated from the Chalaine, watches from a distance, fearing treachery, hoping he can save her from Mikkik and the incompetence of her cowardly husband.

But when Mikkik finally arrives, the tormented god foists the biggest deception ever seen upon the unsuspecting peoples of Ki'hal. Only Gen and a few of his allies know the truth. The fate of Ki'hal rests upon their shoulders as Mikkik unleashes his fell creations to hunt them down and silence the living heart of the world.

Most Satisfying Epilogue I have EVER Read

Where does Sacrifice rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This book easily ranks at the top 5 audiobooks I have listening to ever.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Gen continues as my favorite character even though a few others are very close seconds. His desire to protect and love his friends is unlimited. He throws himself into any dangerous situation simply because it is the right thing. I love a character whose sense of nobility is unbreakable.

What does Simon Vance bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

His voice has a unique quality that just seems to fit this saga. I wish I could explain it better but it just seems to fit.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I absolutely LOVED the final chapter and epilogue. After everything that Gen had been through, he finally is able to step back from his duty and live a quiet unobserved life with a woman he loves.

Any additional comments?

In all the books I have ever read, I am hard-pressed to think of a more satisfying end to a saga than I have in this book. While the love-triangle was a bit odd, it fit with the characters because they behaved as mature adults who put the welfare of the others before their own. In the end, I was left smiling and pleased and a bit wistful that the story had come to a conclusion. I highly recommend this series.

Enjoyable, exciting, suspenseful, and satisfying.

I have totally enjoyed the entire series Drew Miann and wrapped me up with the characters I think about them from time to time throughout the day when I'm not reading which I think is funny I normally don't do that. I was looking for a little bit more fulfillment at the end but I still liked the ending.
I would recommend this series to those who love science-fiction fantasy and deeply principled stories with love, integrity, warriors, villains, heroines, good against evil and extremely develop characters

It got better as it went

I will say firstly, that I liked the ending. Many stories feel closed and shut, or left too open for me to feel any closure. All of the threads here tie up well and the ending leaves you wanting to read more and see more of the world created, which I believe an ending should do. Close out but leave you enticed enough to return for other tales.

I had major issues with the dialogue between the Shelain and Dayson and Fenna in the first book but it gradually got better.

A downside of the writing was the constant use of "inwardly" which I find an irritating habit among many writers these days. However, it was not used so much that it was distracting and I felt engaged enough to let it go.

I enjoyed the tale as a whole and liked villains and heroes alike. If Mr. Fuller gives fantasy another try, I will be back to sample.

Also performance was great, narrator did a good job keeping all the characters straight and did well with quite a few voices.

Great Ending to a Great Story

A very enjoyable read and great ending to a fun story. A bit of spolier, the final chapter of the book is the best thing I've read in a while.

Great ending to a great series

Great series, only complaint is some characters
Ended very. Abruptly. Also I would've liked to of known what happened to the boy that Jen gave the knife to. Other than that the performance is great and the book was amazing

Awesome

This is a really fun series. I am bummed that it's over.

The series, like others have said, is basically one book broken into 4 pieces.

Epic story..

I loved this series! I have been completely addicted for a couple of weeks now (i listen to small bits at a time while driving or cooking). Now that I'm finished I have that sad feeling of missing something... I miss the characters and the world they live in.

The storyline is a familiar one: regular orphaned boy turns out to be a hero (with a twist), monsters attack, heroic feats ensue, all the hot girls love him. It got cheesy at times, but the narration and wonderful writing kept me hooked. If you like epic fantasy, you'll love this book... it has all of the themes that have us fantasy nerds coming back for more :).

I will say that the narrator was a little fast for me.. the app is great because it gives you the ability to change the speed. I slowed it to 0.5x and it was perfect.
