Publisher's summary

New York Times and USA TODAY bestselling author Tina Folsom presents: After being kidnapped by a vampire hunter, vampire bodyguard Yvette's first instinct is to kill the bastard. But before she gets the chance, she realizes that he was double-crossed by the witch he was working for and now is in as much danger as she is.

To get his brother out of trouble, bounty hunter/vampire slayer Haven has to deliver the young actress Kimberly to a witch. Unfortunately, she's protected by the very creature he hates most: a vampire. As Yvette and Haven try to escape their prison and rescue the actress and Haven's brother, will their natural hatred for each other keep them apart or is the passion that bubbles up between them strong enough for them to dare risk their lives to defeat the witch from harnessing the greatest power of all?

A Great Addiction

With each new book Tina releasing on Audible, I’m becoming addicted to her style of writing and the characters and worlds she builds within them. The Scanguard series is no exceptional to this rule. Deceit, sex, romance, bad ass vampire bodyguard heroine, and an “I’m not scared of no damn vampires” bounty hunter hero, makes a great recipe for a killer story.

Yvette is a bad ass, butt kicking while she is wearing stilettos heels vampire bodyguard for Scanguard. She is currently assigned to an up and coming actress to guard because the actress has been receiving threats. Yvette tries to prove that she doesn’t need help from anyone and she is as bad as the boys, all the while shielding her heart and emotions from the pain of her past.

Haven is a hunk of an alpha male vampire bounty hunter that would do anything to help his younger brother and only family left. When his younger brother is kidnap by a witch, Haven is forced to kidnap a young actress to get his brother release. Realizing too late, that the beautiful woman his body ached to be with is not only his potential kidnapped victim’s bodyguard but she is also a vampire doesn’t set well with Haven. Unfortunately, neither his body nor Yvette’s wants to listen to their brains.

Kevin Foley does the narration for this book. He has been doing the narration since the beginning of the series, which I’m thrilled about. When listening to a series, you get use to certain characters voice within the story. Kevin does a great job with the characters and his deep, rich voice is soothing and mmm too curling.

Another good story

I didn't like Yvette much until this book. It showed her vulnerability and her intelligence, making her more likable. This was one of the better stories

I Was Surprised with this one!

At first I was a little let down with this one. Yvette and Haven fight more then anything else in the beginning, but as the story develops, you can see things change between them. Haven is looking for his lost sister and killing vampires when he can. But he is also taking care of his brother. As you learn more of Haven's story and Yvette's along the way, you can see what they both really fear. This one starts out slow, but it builds to a great end and one I wasn't expecting at all.

With each passing book, I have to wander more and more what Zane, Thomas, and Oliver's stories are and how they will end.

Yvette’s Haven

I found Book 1 this time fIrst. And so I have run out of my Four credits first. Then I did something that I never do.....I had a five dollar credit and I actually bought a book with my actual money. I was desperate to have the next book in the series. I am going to look at my library and see if I have a book or two two that I can honestly.trade in to get a couple more of the series to read. Then if I don’t have any more to trade in I will start buying the things all over again. Great job.girl.

Sometimes things do turn out right

What did you love best about Yvette's Haven?

I like that Yvette is compassionate about others, even though she doesn't want anyone to know it. I like that Yvette has a connection to animals.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Yvette's Haven?

The most memorable moments is when Haven realizes that all his hate was directed towards the wrong people and once he is aware of the wrong he tries to correct his mistake. When he realizes one of the three siblings has to die in order to stop the grab for power, he gives up his life to save them. Also when the bad witch tries to kill Yvette, Haven uses his body to protected her.

What does Kevin Foley bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

It enhanced the storyline, but I like the book better. Though he tried his female voice is a little off.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Sometimes you have to forgive before you find love.

What an amazing story!!!!

The Scanguards Vampires series has everything you could want in a paranormal romance novel. It has hot vampires, sassy women, witches, true love, danger, intrigue, and a few unexpected thrills. I loved this series and hope you do too.

I love this series and Yvette and Haven's story is definitely a welcome addition. I love how the author gave Yvette, the strong, independent, kick-butt-and-take-names heroine a softer side. I also really like how she made two mortal enemies mates. It makes the story better, more exciting. I will definitely be listening to this one again. Well done to the author and the narrator for giving another degree of life.

LOVE, THANKFULLY, CAN EVENTUALLY CONQUER ALL

First I must admit that, although I am a huge fan of the Scanguards, this book was about Yvette and I prefer the tough, broody, handsome male vampire's story and she didn't have a great character in previous books so I wasn't desperate to listen to her story. However, Haven more than makes up for it - he's a sexy, handsome, strong Hunter and Kevin Foley's voice was just puuurrfect for him.

Sorry, now to the book, if you're following this brilliant series then you know what you're in for but if not then let me tell you Tina Folsom has written another captivating addition to the series - there's instant attraction and sizzling chemistry between Haven and Yvette but just as things could hot up between them they soon find out that they're actually on opposite sides and that's when all the action and fun begins.

TF has managed to pack so much into this plot - character backgrounds, betrayal, twists and turns, kidnapping, revelations, humor, surprises, Witches chasing the 'ultimate power', mystery, and, as the line between love and hate starts to blur enemies become lovers and lust, passion and sex sex sex happily follow. However, someone eventually has to make a terrible sacrifice in order to save everyone and only love can save the day.

Worth a credit? Although this isn't my absolute favorite in the series, for any paranormal romance lover the answer has got to be a YES and this has a feel like the awesome BDB by J R Ward - a brotherhood of vampires fighting the evils of the world and each finding their mate along the way...... D LISH OUS. Next is Zane's Redemption (yippee) and then Thomas & Eddie's story - can't wait.

Which Witch is Which.

Another great addition to the Scanguard's series. I liked Samson's and Gabriel's story better. We didn't have the psychiatrist in this one. Cracks me up that they go to the head doctor. Books should be read in order. I am looking forward to Zane's book, I always tend to like the moody guys. Don't ask me why cuz in real life they are a pain. I think that Haven is a strange name for a male character. Narrator was the same as the first three book, I like it when they use the same one for series. Well as long as they are good. This narrator is good, but defiantly not my favorite. He is a little dry and there isn't a lot of variation for different characters.
