Publisher's summary

Nurse and avid backpacker Aimee Donovan is offered the opportunity of a lifetime. She encounters a patient who tells her he can send her two hundred years into the past to spend three months in the rugged Yellowstone wilderness at the dawn of the mountain man era. The only requirement: she cannot tell anyone that she's from the future.

How did a white woman suddenly appear in the remote Rocky Mountain wilderness? Trapper Daniel Osborne's first instinct is to protect this mysterious and unconventional woman from the harsh realities of his mountains. While he fights his growing attraction to her, he is left frustrated by her lies and secrecy. Daniel shows Aimee a side of Yellowstone she's never experienced.

She is torn between her feelings for him, and exposing a secret that will destroy everything he holds as truth. As her three months come to an end, she is faced with a dilemma: return to her own time, or stay with the man who opened her eyes to a whole new world. When the decision is made for her, both their lives will be changed forever.

Not too crazy about the time travel part.

It turned out to be a pretty good book but not one that i will read again. I think it would've been better if the time travel part would've been left out.

Blissfully romantic!

Yellowstone Heart Song checks off everything I would look for in a time travel romance. Amy is a strong and intelligent female character who challenges the rugged, handsome, mountain man, Daniel. The building of their relationship was expertly done by author Peggy L Henderson!
If you enjoy an excellent historical romance then you will love this story.
You will want to read all the books in the Yellowstone series. Enjoy!

A little sci-fi, a little history, a little modern

Some stories have a way of gentling you into them, some thrust you in and it takes a minute to wrap your head around it. Maybe it was just me, but it took a minute to orient myself at the beginning of this one.

Overall Yellowstone Heart Song delivered and it kept my interest throughout. I especially liked the very end. You'll see...

I fell in love with this story again.

I read the book about 2 years ago. I loved the story of Aimee and Daniel. I love time travel stories as well. Aimee goes back in time to see the beautiful land of Yellowstone before it became a national park. She meets Daniel and they fall in love. Then everything falls apart and she is sent back into the future. But love finds a way. I laugh and I cried. And the ending is just so...so very good. I loved reading the story but hearing it brought out so many emotions. It was like Aimee was there telling her story. I wish I could have given the audible a rating of 10.

Enjoyable light reading

The story flowed well. Not too many details to bog it down, but enough to keep one engaged. Good pastime reading.

A SWEET TREAT THAT WAS JUST YUMMY

Ahhhh Yellowstone Park in 1810 when times were harsh men were men - rugged, capable and strong and it was no place for women who should be cherished, pampered and, of course 'loved'. But when handsome hunky Daniel (who's got no time for women because of his past) first sets his keen Trapper eyes on Amiee (a Nurse from 2010) he knew there was something different about her but would never have guessed she was from the future and is about to change his.

A lover of Yellowstone, the outdoor pursuits and adventures, Amiee is a spunky, capable and strong-willed beauty gets offered 3 months in the past living out her dream of bygone days. She thinks it's an old man's ravings so goes along with him by enthusiastically taking the chance - but she never bargained for it to be true.... or meeting Daniel. He was unhappy at first but slowly he was drawn to Amiee's many good qualities and beauty which resulted in sexual chemistry, desire and a beautiful romance,

But, of course the sand is falling through the hour glass and time is running out for these two lovers who have secrets yet to be shared and, before they knew it, every grain of sand was gone and Amiee, with her heart breaking, was brought back to 2010. Daniel's anger at being betrayed once again was to have devastating consequences and his bitterness and sadness didn't stop there in 1810. Amiee's life was consumed by heartache and memories until one night..... no, I'm not spoiling the best bit so listen for yourselves.

Worth a credit? A vividly described, emotional love story that had fun, humor, joy, passion and sorrow, there were a few interesting secondary characters - in particular Daniel's Indian friend Elk Runner, adventure and a dangerous encounter which led to a kidnapping and murder. So, worth a credit? Hell YEP.

liked story - did not like narrator

I liked the story- but I am struggling to finish it because of the narrator at first I wondered if it was an actual person or a computer-generated voice because there was no emotion whatsoever and when she pretended to be the Indian it was awful -
