Only okay

The narrator had a odd feminine voice. It distracted me while I tried to listen.

Handsome rancher's new ranch hand hides a surprise

What did you love best about Wyoming Tough?

I enjoyed the ins and outs of everyday ranch work as described in the book as I grew up around cowboys and ranch hands myself. There is a good storyline here and Mallory Kirk is a very strong character. Surprised however that he was so easily fooled by the rag girlfriend who could not leave quick enough for me. Morie Brannt is a very strong heroine in this story. Gives as good as she gets though she is still vulnerable to her feelings for him. She of course, is hiding things from him as all heroines seem to do. Lots of good support characters who I am sure will get books or make appearances in later books.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Wyoming Tough?

The scene at her father's ranch when Mallory is finally presented with the truth. Hard for a strong man like him to face all his mistakes in front of all those people. He is a good man after all.

Which scene was your favorite?

I had many that I enjoyed and can't decide on any one over the other that I would listen to over and over. There are many funny and sad moments in the story that bear hearing again.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Not good at tag lines so will not try here.

Any additional comments?

I like the way Phil does all the male characters. He does suttle accents very well and does a very good drawl. I like to be able to tell a character is older and he does that well too. I do wish that his women's voices were better. They are more times than not too high pitched and more annoying than sensual. Love scenes can be tough indeed when the woman sounds like that. Hopefully that will improve one day because he is really a very good narrator.

Romance book

Honestly, I downloaded the obool for two reasons:
1. Performed by Phil Gigante
2. Title is featured in Audible escape

That said, this book is absolutely not my genre, because it’s plain (vanilla) romance. I think the story is well written and the character development is okay.
For my taste it’s to bland but in it’s sort it’s probably not a bad book. I guess, if you like Nicolas Sparks you might be interested in this book.

I do enjoy a good western story!

This is a great example of ms Palmer, s best story telling. A very good example of the narrator, s ability to hold my attention through the entire book in one day!

Diana's review ,

Wyoming Tough is and extremely well written book . I enjoyed this story immensely . I really enjoyed the part where the young lady that was putting on errs, and she stole that egg and tried to frame Kings daughter and defame her character ,but in the end everything came out right .

Disappointed

Even though I enjoyed the majority of this book, the last 15 minutes of it pretty much ruined it for me. I'm not a prude but I really don't want to listen to all the details of a sexual encounter.

Great narration; book predictable with plot holes

I bought this because I like romances and Phil Gigante as a narrator. He does a great job as always. The story, however, leaves something to be desired. The characters are likable enough, but the premise is doubtful...a sheltered heiress (albeit to a Texas ranch) goes to work anonymously as a cowgirl on a ranch. Also, several times I rolled my eyes. Why would a Wyoming rancher hire a PI from Houston? And of all the PIs in the world, the same guy gets hired by her Texas family? Why didn't the characters see what was coming? Also, as satisfying as some of the scenes were near the end, they were predictable. I won't buy more of this series, even if my favorite narrator is on board.
