Publisher's summary

Prim and proper art gallery coordinator Elle Walser is no good at seducing men. Heck, she's been throwing hints at her boss for months, but he's completely clueless. Desperate to escape her mother's matchmaking efforts, she comes up with a plan - buy some lingerie and climb into her boss' bed. The plan goes brilliantly...until she accidentally seduces a sexy stranger instead.

Bad boy nightclub mogul Gabe Schultz just had the best almost-sex of his life. Too bad the smoking hot blonde thought he was his brother and bolted before he could finish what they started. Though her holier-than-thou attitude puts a serious damper on his mood, Gabe's never been one to give up on something he wants. And he wants Elle. But does a man who lives on the dark side really have a chance with a proper lady?

No, just no

Couldn’t make it past chapter 5. The concept of the romance was good but the execution was just Hiet. Both lead characters didn’t interact well. The narrator made it worse. She really made the female lead come across as a spoiled and whiny 4 year old. Thank goodness it was in the audible escape package and easy to return.

Unlikeable characters with an unrealistic plot

I think the reason I didn't care for Elle was the narrator as much as the character. For someone who was supposed to be a "lady," she was actually really rude to Gabe in the beginning despite the circumstances. So I really didn't get what Gabe's random obsession with her from the beginning was at all. Any guy I know would have had some backbone and put her in her place. But a "lady" also wouldn't have behaved like such a harpee. I also quickly tired of the two female characters soundling practically like valley girls. I finished the book but I wouldn 't recommend it.

A Predictable Romantic Fantasy

If you like a fantasy world where "bad boys" are really sweet and sensitive … not to mention, rich … and are the most incredible and expert lovers with no thought for their own pleasure, only yours … this is the book for you. It has some pretty good erotic scenes, but as a story, it was predictable and unbelievable.

Just ok

I really wanted to love this book but it is a struggle to finish. El really gets on my nerves with her judgmental thoughts and behaviors. At least twice she tells Gabe not to judge her but she literally judges him and his perceived lifestyle the entire book. And the comment about hip hop or techno traumatizing her really rubbed me raw. I really hope the next two females in this series are more mature and less whining.

Obnoxious female character

This was new author I tried during a sale. I made it as far as chapter 7 and I just couldn't listen anymore. The narrator was good, but the story lacked any sympathy for the lead heroine. She was completely pretentious and grated on my last nerve. Sorry, I tried.

Horrible female character

The story and overall writing is blah but I didn’t expect much. The real issue here is the female character. I’ve read hundreds of books and never have a disliked a character like I did this book. She was such a snooty person. Her attitude and her belief that she was so much better then everyone made me dislike this book. Just horrible! At the end when she’s reading his letter she’s mad that he didn’t put more effort in the stationary. Really?!?! 😒 Just so snobby!

Judgemental snob!! He shoulda dumped her!!

What disappointed you about Wrong Bed, Right Guy?

I strongly disliked the female character...she was a snob, she was rude and passing judgement on the male. He shoulda sent her packing and not bothered. I couldn't find any sympathy for her no matter how her mom was.

What could Katee Robert have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Balance on working their faults but still finding them likable and redeemable.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Kasha Kensington?

She was okay.

What character would you cut from Wrong Bed, Right Guy?

The main female!!

Cookie cutter stereotypes badly executed

The story uses a tried and tested set up - good girl meets bad boy, bad boy turns out not to be so bad after all and good girl has a wild streak - but does it poorly. The writing is cliched, and the main characters are one dimensional and under-developed. The whole thing could still possibly have been pulled off if Elle and Gabe weren't so dislikeable and shallow. Chemistry between the two was sorely lacking and the descriptions of their luke warm sexual encounters was out of synch with the characters' assessment of them as being earth shattering. I couldn't finish this. Save your credit for something better, say Beautiful Stranger by Christina Lauren.
