Publisher's Summary

Life isn't worth living without an Internet connection. I'm always on the computer, video chatting, and even reading books on my phone.

It was natural for me to use the TerraMates app to find a husband.

I didn't know they would match me with a sexy alien who was afraid of high technology. TerraMates sent me to a mysterious planet where the penalty for having a smartphone was execution!

    Story
    "The "Right" Wrong Alien!"

I love TerraMates short stories because they are complete, have a great plot, and good mix of romance, suspense, and action.

Poor Annalee, she did not know what she was getting into when she decided to become a TerraMate and marry an Alien. TerraMates sent her to a planet with no technology! She's certainly a better person than me, as this would have been a deal breaker for me! However, like any sensible earth female, she's not parting with her cell phone, and sneaks it with her when she goes to the planet. Sadly, taking this "contraband" will cause her more problems than it is worth, because on this planet they will execute anyone who is caught with any type of technology.

When Annalee arrives on the planet to meet her future husband, Jesse, for the first time, she's thinking how sexy he is, but he's not thinking the same thing. However, he knows he must marry her, or risk losing the family's farm. In order for Jesse to inherit the farm, he must be married, but no one from his home planet will marry him since he's been deemed a renegade for something that happened in his past.

The day after Annalee and Jesse are wed, the Bureau of Purity come to their farm to conduct a search, and Annalee's technology "contraband" is discovered. Dread fills her as everyone meekly stands by while the Bureau is preparing to take her to be executed in two days. Before the Bureau leaves with Annalee, Jesse requests to say goodbye to his wife who he's only been married to for a day and whispers in her ear "Be ready. Don't sleep." A little bit of hope begins to grow inside Annalee as she wonders if Jesse will rescue her, and if he will make it in time.

I loved the dual narration, both Cassandra and Noel did a great job.

This was another great addition to the Terra Mates series. I received this audiobook in exchange for an honest review!

    "WOW!!"
What did you love best about Wrong Alien?

When Annalee and Jesse both realized they loved each other and Annalee knew she would not go back to Earth.

What did you like best about this story?

I liked how the heroine tried to live without modern conveniences because this world decided to no longer use anything scientific or technical due to something that happened in the past.

What does Cassandra Myles and Noel Harrison bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I would not get the same emotions as with me reading versus how they bring the characters to life. Audio books are like watching TV with no picture.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Modern girl goes back in time.

    Any additional comments?

The story begin with both Jesse and Annalee having a purpose for a marriage. Both unsure how it would end at the end of the year. One needed money and the other a wife so he could inherit his fathers farm. Even though they had a rocky start it all worked out for the both of them. Annalee came from Earth to a world that has chosen to no longer embrace modern technology. No electricity, modern bathroom etc. The punishment for being caught with this type of contraband is death. Annalee manages to bring her smartphone by hiding it on her person in a odd place. She does not think much about it but this will prove to get her into a lot of trouble. What she does not know is her new husband is part of a band of rebels that are know as renegades. They want to bring back technology. He even has been branded with a R due to a discretion when he was a kid. this is why he cannot get a wife without going off planet. All in all things do work out. This book made laugh and kept me on the edge of my seat. I recommend this book. I receive book free for an honest review.

    "Great plot"

Received free for honest review. This story had some surprises I wasn't expecting. Annalee from earth gets married to Jesse on a planet where electronics are banned. Annalee smuggles her phone and she is caught later and Jesse must save her from execution. Lots of action and romance and the narrators did a good job.

    "Best of the series yet!"

Though I have throughly enjoyed the previous Terramates books, I believe this is the best so far. I enjoy the writing style of Lisa Lace and the sci-fi yet realistic worlds and relationships she shares.

I was gifted with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest and truthful review.

    "SyFy fun"

Working two jobs and her mom spending her money as he just can't get enough money to get her dream job. So she goes to Terra mates. Just her luck she gets sent sent to a planet where having a smartphone will get you killed.
Now she is married to a alien farmer dhe is not sure they like each other and running for her life. Will she see her happy ending?
Great action, lots of spice, and mystery!

SyFy fans should really have fun with one.

    "Love this series!"

Great new story to this series. Just keeps getting better. The two narrators do a great job. Can't imagine going from a world of technology to one with none what a culture shock. Love the story between the two main characters. Story moves along well and kept my interest. I recommend this book. Hope you enjoy!

    Story
"Jesse might be hot but I'd have picked Porter..."
    Any additional comments?

Jesse starts off on the wrong foot. He's a JERK. Even his mail order bride, Annalee (nice name btw - I'd not heard that one before; pretty), calls him on it.
But I was pleasantly happy when he pulls it together and gives them the chance to build a life together. They both (in their mental narratives) comment on the insta-love, but it's done sweet, and if you're familiar with this author's style you'll be glad to roll with it. This is another fast paced story that encompasses more than I thought it would from the way the opening scene laid it out there --- is there a discussion group on FB for Lace fans? I need to look that up. I want to comment on a few things, but it will spoil the plot. Unless I missed where they covered it, one of the characters just sort of dropped off the book universe. I thought the story was going to take a turn when two characters were focused on for a brief time, but nothing came of either one. Did this detract from the experience? No, they just had me wondering. Onto Narrators: Cassandra Myles and Noel Harrison were new to me, and I think they are my new favorites for the TerraMates series - I will have to look them up to see if they are reading the next one. They were great
In short: If you like alien romance stories this will keep you entertained. I received this audio in exchange for my honest review

    Story
    "You want me to marry....HER?"

Jesse comes from a world that has turned away from technology. Jesse needs to be married in order to keep his father’s farm. There is one problem; none of the local women will marry him. He has been branded a criminal for something he did when he was a teenager. He finds his childhood friend Porter and asks him for help. Porter likes to sneak technology and is able to order a bride for Jesse. All Jesse needs to do is sell most of the animals on the farm to pay for the bride.

The bride, Annalee comes from a world with technology. Annalee needs money quickly and uses TerraMates. All she has to do is marry an alien and move to his planet. After one year of marriage, if she is unhappy with the marriage TerraMates will arrange for a quick divorce. Annalee gets to keep the money and will be set financially for life. When she gets to the planet, all of her technology is removed. Even her contact lenses must be removed. She is forced to wear her old frumpy glasses. Then Annalee is given old style prairie dress clothes. These are basic dull pieces of clothing which are not appealing to men. All of her lovely loose hair is now in a required bun. She goes through a major culture shock. Could she possibly look worse?

She is picked up at the space port by Jesse’s friend Porter. Porter and Annalee travel for weeks to get to Jesse. Once Jesse sees her, he thinks she is frumpy and ugly. Annalee has just spent weeks dirty, tired and wearing a sack for clothing. Basically, he just does not want a wife, but appreciates the fact that she has nice breasts and child bearing body. What????? Well, he is just stressed out and not really paying attention. First impressions are wrong on both Annalee and Jesse's part. Just about the time Jesse and Annalee start liking each other, one of them is put in jail. Then the story really takes off into a BIG adventure.

I like listening to audiobooks that have 2 narrators - one for the female and one for the male characters. This gives the story a great flow.

    "Wrong Alien, Right Man!"

Another slam dunk by Lisa Lace! This book is chock full of action and sass! And of course lots of steamy deliciousness!

I absolutely love the fact that two people from seemingly different walks of life can come to love each other, and not only that. They can change the course of history together. A beautiful concept, and an overall lovely and exciting story.

The narrators were also spot on. They were very fluid, and told the story with so much passion. The world building was also extremely well described it felt like a place I could actually visit.

I highly recommend this story, and look forward to more. Keep it up Ms. Lace! You are a fabulous storyteller.
