Publisher's summary

Most girls dream of slipping into a magical gown, running off to an extravagant ball, and kissing a so-called prince. But when Grace Warren is invited to a black tie event and a handsome stranger steals a kiss from her, she considers it highway robbery. If she never sees the presumptuous low-life again, it will be too soon.

Weeks later, when Seth Tuttle hobbles into her rehab clinic, Grace wants nothing more than to pawn him off on another therapist. Unfortunately, her wishes came true about as often as ACL tears heal themselves, and Grace finds herself helping a man who doesn’t even remember kissing her. No one could blame her for making his therapy a little more painful than necessary, could they?

Working it Out is about two strangers discovering there’s more to each other than meets the eye, and that sometimes it’s in the working out of things that wishes really can come true.

Good storyline

Not as much as a comedy as stated but good story about making good come out of bad. Like that it had a bonus romance in the background.

Sweet read

This is a really sweet romance. Closed bedroom door and minimal heat. Sometimes a girl just wants a PG love story and this fits the bill.

Grace is a wound a bit tight, but that is one of the fun things about her. She is sassy and steadfast. I love the way she defines people by their names. Seth is the perfect match for her with his playful attitude and fly by the seat of his pants plans. They have a great dynamic.

The book is a mixed POV, you get the narrative from both leads. The swaps go smoothly and are more chapter to chapter. It is great getting into both their heads. It sells the feelings of the romance.

While I enjoyed this book more time was spent on the build than the actual times as a couple. That gets glossed over and relegated to a tell and not show. I would have liked more time with them together rather than just the last few chapters.

I love the supporting cast and the side romance, again more detail there would have been nice.I liked this story and it was a very easy read, but I did want a little more story in the end.

I listened to the audiobook narrated by Laura Princiotta, who was lovely. She had just the right notes to her voice to make the characters come to life. Fantastic pace kept up with the movement of the story and added energy to the key moments. The voices were consistent and easy to follow when dialogue was snappy. She gives good ears!

Overall, this was a delightful story that was a safe read. Great depth to the romance and fun banter. I always enjoy this author's sweet reads!

Clean but with some depth

Enjoyed this story, have been looking for clean books and a lot of them tend to be YA or too immature for my liking, but Rachael Anderson's tend to be perfect.

Story was good clean romance story . Very hard to get through it as the narration was so difficult to tolerate

I purchased the book under the impression it would be a light-hearted love story, but it was more of a drama. It just wasn't what I expected.

Did not like this story

I struggled to finish this book. None of the characters were really likeable for me. The story felt forced and rushed in some places and in others the author repeated the same thing over and over until I was annoyed with the main character and wished she'd end up alone. I didn't believe this love story.
