    "Are you my Daddy?"

Another hit from Shelly Laurenston. This series is just fun with a bunch of crazy characters, you just never know what to expect from the shifters. Of course this series needs to be read in order, there is just too much going on from other stories not to. Although this book is one of my favorites the romance wasn't quite as good as others, only because there wasn't as much focus on it. Of course the straight up madness of everything makes up for it. Same narrator as the rest and she does a great job.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes I would totally recommend this series to a friend and even family.

What about Charlotte Kane’s performance did you like?

I lover her accents with the characters. Even when she switches between the books the voices are still different. For instance, Ronnie sounds the same in all of the books. Charlotte is not using the same female voice in all of the Wolf with Benefits series.

What did you love best about Wolf with Benefits?

How good Toni and Ricky are together. Perfect match!

Who was your favorite character and why?

Toni and Ricky are great because she can handle anything deal with the drama. I love that Ricky is so mellow and he just wants for the fun to come to him.

What about Charlotte Kane’s performance did you like?

Her voice is perfect for Shelly's characters.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Trying to figure out what Livi was. I never would have guessed a honey badger. Love it.

    Any additional comments?

Love all of Shelly's books and can't wait to get all the audio books.

She'll Laurens ton does it again for me! I love this new world of shifters and togetherness. I love that she crosses ravia l and species lines and wrapping it up in a senual romantic bow. Toni and Ricky Lee's story filled with hilarious moments, but also touching.

I really love the narrator's voice. She pulls me into the storyline and her accents are great.

    My Review:
    Overall: 4.25

    Story:4.25

This is one of those series that I read the first book ages ago and LOVED it. But I can never find time to slide the books into my jam-packed read pile, although I think I own all of them. So when this audio came up on a special sale at some point in time, I snagged it knowing that it's sometimes easier for me to sneak in audio reading rather than print reading.

I slid this one in out of order, but I enjoyed it thoroughly, nonetheless. Toni is an awesome character. She's the eldest of ten siblings and is the only one who is not a prodigy. But whether she is a prodigy or not, she is a superior organizer. She keeps the lives and schedules of her ten very talented, very busy, very demanding siblings organized. Unfortunately, those ten are pretty narcissistic...the same as their mother. So very few of them really appreciate the huge efforts Toni makes on their behalf. So far, her career has been her family. She wants and deserves more. I adore how she gets her job with the hockey team. She's just one of those no-nonsense characters who I truly fell in love with. And I could feel for her just because although she's incredibly resourceful and smart, being compared to her siblings constantly would drive down anyone's self-confidence. Yet, Toni still rises above all that...over and over again. She is so freaking smart.

Then there's Ricky Lee. His character was awesome through the audiobook, because the narrator nailed his laid back, southern charm and accent. That alone added so much to the story. He seems like he's almost lazy, but when it comes to his security firm and job, he is a serious take-charge guy. I loved that we got to see both sides of him. It made him an great character.

I haven't read a whole lot of Shelly Laurenston's books, but from what I have read, I love her snark and wit. Her books are laugh out loud fun and funny. So entertaining to read and this one definitely fell along that line, too. I constantly found myself giggling at the antics of the characters in the book, especially the males. But the kids are just as funny. Kyle...I can't imagine dealing with him in real life, but in the book, he was awesomely entertaining. The set-up is fabulously fun and you can't help but to admire Toni for her perseverance. But I also loved how Ricky loved to just sit back and watch her maneuver the world around her. He takes such pure joy from her skills and you could see that in the story. I loved the two of them together. They seem like an unlikely couple, but they work so brilliantly together.

I truly enjoyed this book and the audio of it was absolutely fantastic. There are so many voices and Charlotte Kane was brilliant creating so many different ones. I highly recommend it.

"Very good addition to the series :D"

    4 stars

This was a very good story. I really liked Toni and Ricky Lee. Their story was fun and interesting and it was a fitting addition to the series.

Toni is a Jackal shifter and 1 of 11 siblings. Her parents are Jackie and Paul (secondary characters from the book When He Was Bad) and Jackie is a violin prodigy. Toni's 10 brothers and sisters all took after their mother and are prodigies in their own area (from arts to science) but Toni is the only non-prodigy among them. She's the oldest and her siblings are a handful so Toni became their handler/nanny and hasn't been able to get out from under that responsibility to be able to have a life of her own.

Ricky Lee is a wolf shifter and member of the Smith pack. He works for a shifter security company and in his off time he seems to do whatever will be the most fun for him. He's not looking for a serious relationship and isn't prepared for the interest he feels when he meets Toni.

Toni and her family usually live on the west coast but for certain reasons (some conniving by her mother to get a new student) they're all spending the summer in New York. Taking care of her siblings is a full time job for Toni but she had wanted to get a job outside of the home that would give her a chance to do something other than baby sit her siblings. Her "aunt" Irene (the heroine from When He Was Bad) wants to help her out and sets her up with an interview with Rick (the hero from Big Bad Beast) and when she shows what she can do, Toni ends up with a much more serious job than intended and the sudden change in her life freaks her out big time. Ricky Lee and Toni meet a couple times in the beginning of the story in unexpected and unplanned meetings. There isn't really an instant attraction that's obvious but Ricky Lee decides he likes Toni from the beginning. He finds that Toni tends to have interesting things happen around her that's very entertaining to Ricky Lee so it makes being around her fun. Because of his liking her company, Ricky Lee ends up nearby when Toni goes in to freak out mode after her first day at her new job. He manages to help her settle down and tries to convince her that she can do the job and not to quit immediately. Toni isn't convinced but ends up getting drawn in to things that needs doing in the job and decides to stick with it for a while.

Ricky Lee and Toni end up spending more time together when she gets sent to Russia to negotiate with Bear shifters about the terms of a hockey game and the travel arrangements. Toni needs security since she's going in to dangerous territory and Ricky Lee works for a security company so he gets hired to help. They make the trip but here's difficulties with the Bears and it takes Toni some effort to get things worked out. Toni manages to get a good deal and when she get home she finds that her boss is happy with her and she's unlikely to get fired any time soon. While over in Russia, Toni and Ricky Lee do break the ice between them and find that they fit together quite well, both physically and otherwise. They start becoming more involved but Toni is freaked at the idea of anything serious so Ricky Lee has to tread carefully (but not let go). There's an issue that arise when they get back having to do with her family and external dangers coming from non-shifters. Toni and Ricky Lee have their hands full when danger strikes and there's some unfortunate drama as the missing is found and the culprits are taken care of. There's also some sadness as a traitor is found and has to be dealt with but overall things go as smoothly as can be expected. Ricky Lee is there for Toni throughout and in the end she's able to get past her fears so they can start their HEA together.

This was a very enjoyable story. I liked Toni but I have to say that I felt sorry for her part of the time because of what her family put her through. Her family is horrible in the beginning with their selfishness. Fortunately this doesn't last and we get to see better behavior later. Ricky Lee is great and I liked his contribution to the story. The relationship between Ricky Lee and Toni wasn't overly emotional or angst ridden, it was more light and friendly and eased in to serious without too much drama which I liked. Overall this was a fun and interesting story that was never boring. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series. I'd recommend this book. Thumbs up. :D
