Publisher's summary

Ben stepped outside the south door of the little cabin - just to take a quick look around. He hadn't yet put on his coat, and the cool air felt refreshing. He was glad, however, that there was no wind this morning, or it would really be cold.

Ben's breath formed steamy puffs, visible in the crisp air. He could see that frost covered the ground. It was quiet this morning, except for the occasional crowing of the roosters.

As he started to turn back inside, he saw something out of the corner of his eye. Slipping back inside, Ben grasped the Colt hanging in its holster by the door, and then eased outside once again. He took cover behind the nearest tree.

Winter Grey

This is a short quick western story about cleaning up a town. I thought it was a good story and I enjoyed listening to it.

Good Story, Lousy Narrating

This story was a chore to finish. This could have been a solid 4 stars across the board with a better narrator.

I hesitate

To leave a review as I did not care for this and don't like to leave bead reviews. However, it is rare that this happens so...
Firstly I did not like the narration. It was awkward and sounded like a lame you tube video. The dialog was a second place for my least favorite thing about this story after the narration. The story itself I didn't find particularly well crafted and was kind of blah. I did finish it but it was more chore than pleasure. again apologies. I would try another by the author for redemptive purposes but probabaly not by that narrator..

Regular cowboy story

The usual cowboy story, good guys vs. bad guys. Although there was a lot of killing bad guys, there was no blood and guts in the violence. Not a lot of character development. The narration was slow. Good story for 10+ years, but not described as such.
