Great Book

I saw other reviews about this book where listeners didn’t like the fact that it took took long for the hero and heroine to hop into bed. I heartily disagree. Given the heroine’s fragility all her life and the rejections she faced and her need for absolute control I think that the storyline was perfect. The hero was a true hero in quickly seeing himself in the heroine and recognizing her extreme fragility and accepting it.

Another Winner in Thunderpoint

I really liked this book. Lin Sue was a difficult character to warm up to, but that is what made her real. Charlie was adorable. All of Robyn Carr's series are wonderful.

Her books are my feel-good place to go when I want to get lost.

The narrator, Therese Plummer, is one of my favorites and made all these series delightful to listen to.

I read the whole series! Love the humor of this

At least give this author a try.
The stories are simpler in writing.
I continue with the whole series for the humor written.

Loved the story but...

Lin Su actually got on my last damn nerve! And I’m really disappointed that Robyn let her be mean dismissive and nasty all the way til the last 20 minutes of the boot. In my head I imagined so many sorry lines that could have happened if she would have submitted early on. I’m sorry this book disappointed me really bad and I pray another is coming but I’m guessing this is it with this series. Robyn seems to end all her books open ended and that’s not good if ur not planning to follow thru. WHAT A DISAPPOINTING BOOK. Lin Su didn’t just get on my nerves I started hating her sadly enough. Robyn Carr you should make amends with this one dear. I’m kinda pissed. She never even said what Grace and Peytons baby’s names were! Man I’m ticked off at how this series ended I kinda wish I had never started it!

wow,

loved it like Virgin River, it will be a kept "downloaded" series right along side it. Thank you Robin Carr and the talented voices of Therese Plummer. I must admit that being stuck, non-mobile your books have brought the travel and life back into my lifetime. I can still see the mountains and views of all the little quaint towns, the folks ,🙏❤️✌️

Not A Terribly Likable Female Lead

This is my third book in the series. I really loved no's 7+8 and this one got off to a very nice start but it seemed to keep hitting obstacles as the story went along. The first boulder for the narrative to get around was Lin Su. As a veteran romance fan I feel that a story must first have two sympathetic leads to connect to the reader/ listener. Blake was that and more; enough so that the narrative began to seem ridiculous. Why would anyone with everything Blake has going for them fall for a shrill, hypocritical, argumentative shrew like Lin Su; indeed it is as if her main contribution is as the book's villain. Her unwarranted attacks on Blake and a couple of tirades towards her son might indicate issues with Borderline Personality Disorder. For any normal man there would be an immediate retreat and perhaps the purchase of some sort of metaphorical garlic encrusted cross. I loved all the usuals; Winnie and Mikhail, Grace and Troy, Iris and Seth. The addition of Frank the MIT student to the cast was an excellent touch and Charlie is the kind of character that everyone connects with. If Lin Su hadn't been such an abysmal, unlikable screeching witch this one would have rated five stars; as it is, it's fortunate that we gave it four.
As I mentioned earlier I'm a big fan of romance, and luckily for me the old man indulges my tastes in audio literature. However in most romance stories, these in particular, it would seem that any woman whose sexual body count exceeds three is the consummate slut and as such is unworthy of love. These three books have leading ladies 30-32 years old, and their past sex partners add up to four; seriously bi-otches four. The fifties ideal of virgin brides wasn't all that common even in the fifties, but in 2015, 2016 the idea that any woman who explores her sexual options must be excluded from finding and having a good man who loves them is insulting. Please ladies can some romance novelist find the ovaries to write female characters with an active sexual past.
