Publisher's summary

New York Times and USA Today best-selling author Robyn Carr is renowned for her Virgin River series. When Colin Riordan is caught in a devastating helicopter crash, Virgin River seems like the ideal place to recover - both physically and emotionally. But when PR guru Jillian Matlock, who rents a Victorian home down the street, finds Colin trespassing, an instant connection blossoms between them - which leads to more than either expects.

Before it was adapted into a Netflix show, Virgin River was a series of more than 20 novels by New York Times best-selling author Robyn Carr. The audiobooks, all read by Audie Award-winning narrator Thérèse Plummer, are well-loved by a wide audience. The series takes place in Virgin River and revolves around new resident Melinda Monroe, a nurse practitioner and midwife. There's more to this sleepy town than first appearances suggest.

Another great Virgin River story

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes. Great story, great narration.

What other book might you compare Wild Man Creek to and why?

I have read almost all in the series and they are all excellent.

What does Therese Plummer bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

In giving the charaters a "voice" she it brings them to life in a different way than when you read a book. I spend hours a day in my car and this is wonderful.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes.

Uplifting

I have listened to all the previous books in the Virgin River series back to back, thanks to audible escape, and enjoyed all of them but this one I enjoyed the most. It has a lot of the characters from the previous books contained in it or small snippets of updates on how they are doing keeping them alive for us and satisfy curiosity. But the reason I enjoyed this one so much is that Jilly was so positive. Her and Colin together were great. She opened herself up to accepting a new possibility of life and hearing her and Colin allow their creative sides to come forth and the love and happiness that came with that was wonderful. I liked Luke's part in this as he has grown as a character, perhaps seeing the mirror of Colin and himself and wanting to help Colin let go of his past ways. Jack too had a great storyline. He got to show us again why we all fell for him in the beginning. His heart and integrity are in the right place and his honesty and truth with Denny were wonderful. Jack is no fair-weather friend, he is in there for the good, the bad and the ugly :) I like that Jack tells people what he thinks and feels and won't let people scurry away but gives them a chance to clear the air and perhaps start anew. I also liked that Clay helped encourage Colin and assist. We all want this kind of love and connection but Ellie and Jilly I found to be so enjoyable and radiant.

Wild Man Creek

I truly loved this audiobook, with Jillian Matlock and Colin Riordan. I believe the husbands name was Chester Matlock. I love the story about Luke and Shelby and their son Brett. Denny thought that Jack Sheridan was his father, but he was mistaken. Everyone came to the wedding, George and Moreen came by their RV. Collin, Luke, Patrick all came to the wedding and Jillian stayed in a hotel with Colin. Jillian cried for weeks after Colin left, she gave Denny the week off just to get her head back together. It was so nice of Luke and Shelby to see that she ate, and was taking care of herself. Then Denny came back that same night to work with Jillian, he is a real good young man, and Jillian needs him. After several weeks Colin returned, he had a shuttle, then he hitchhiked a ride to get back to Jillian. When she saw him, she thought she was seeing a mirage, she ran down three flights of stairs, and jumped in his arms and kissed him like crazy! This was a wonderful audiobook, I hope one day that Jillian Matlock and Colin Riordan will one day get married.

Nice

Good book I love Collin and Jill. It would be nice to see more of what happened with them but I assume there will be some mention of them in the next book
