Very different

What was one of the most memorable moments of Wild Man?

There was several, just enough sex scene but not over bearing which I liked.

What about Kate Russell’s performance did you like?

She make you see the characters.

It was not like the other books in the series but I liked that there was not to much sex and that the women didn't get kidnapped like in all the other books but need a little more action but it was still good.

I love Kristen Ashley. She's the queen. Listening to this audiobook was not my first time "reading" Wild Man. It's not even the second.I love this book. The writing, character development, world building, it's all excellent. KA is the master of writing super-hot alpha males and women that love them but aren't push-overs either.Primarily, my need to write this review stems from the narration. I enjoy Kate Russell's voice, and liked the audiobook she did for the first book in this series, Mystery Man. However, I found this audiobook distracting. Most of the men (and a few of them women) had strong Jersey accents. Seeing as the book takes place in Denver, and NONE of the characters are transplants from the east coast, this is seriously distracting. There are also times when this accent bleed into the main character's dialogue, despite the fact that she usually is not narrated with the accent. Since I find that particular sort of accent annoying when it's heavy (which it is here), it really hindered my ability to enjoy this story in audiobook form.Though, I will say that I generally do enjoy Kate Russell's voice. When she isn't character voicing and the majority of the time she is doing the dialogue of the main female, Tessa, that accent isn't present and I do like the way that she narrates. It's just the character voices used here that spoiled the experience for me.

This is another of Kristen's fantastic stories. I love the characters and the way the story flows.

What other book might you compare Wild Man to and why?

I love this series and any of the Rock Chick series are excellent and very similar.

What aspect of Kate Russell’s performance would you have changed?

Kate Russell was a slight disappointment. I had just finished listening to the Rock Chick series and her interpretation of the characters in those books was a bit of a disappointment. I honestly feel if she had listened to the previous series she might had had a better feel for the characters that crossed over. Her "Vance Crow" made him sound like an F Troop Indian not a smart, hot badass native American. Other cross over characters where a fail as well.

Very enjoyable characters and narration

This is Brock and Tessa's story, another wonderful Kristen Ashley story in the Dream Man series. I love the way the writing reveals the depth of characters and of some tough situations. The story pulled me in and didn't let go. It has entertaining suspense and action scenes through several different threads. I am not a fan of the steamy sex scenes at all. The book as a whole is very enjoyable and the narration is very good.

Whilst I enjoyed the story line, I was extremely frustrated by the actual wording. It reminded me of reading some of my granddaughters essays where I would tell her not to waffle on so much.
The author uses 5 adjectives to describe something where 2 adjectives is plenty. There is also so much repetition that it’s annoying. This does not occur 1 or 2 times but continues on a frequent basis throughout the whole book. At the end there is an excerpt for the next in the series and it was the same therefore I am a little reluctant to listen to the full book. It was like the author was writing a 5000 word essay and was struggling to get that total.

love this story, dislike the narration

This book is one of my favorites of the dream man collection, however the narrator has almost no modulation between male and female characters. I realize there's going to be very few narrators of either gender that can perfectly narrate the other, but I'm only on chapter 7 and considering not going forward. KA is my absolute favorite author. The narrator from the Colorado Mountain series does a much better job (IMO) and The Rising - gold! Listen at your own risk.

Another good one!

2nd book in the series of 4, very good! More realistic than the first. I like this couple, they are totally honest, once things get going. They are older, in their 40's which is somewhat new but not bad. I love the drama and I LOVE a guy who knows what he wants and goes after it. He totally chases her and I love that. There is a lot of stuff in this one, great story.
