Called on a dangerous assignment, leopard shifter Conner Vega returns to the Panama rainforest of his homeland, looking every bit the civilized male. But as a member of the most lethal of the shifter tribes, he doesn’t have a civilized bone in his body. He carries the scent of a wild animal in its prime, he bears the soul-crushing sins of past kills - and he’s branded by the scars of shame inflicted by the woman he betrayed.
Isabeau Chandler’s a Borneo shifter who’s never forgiven Conner - or forgotten him. The mating urge is still with her, and when she crosses Connor’s path, passions run like wild fire. But as Connor’s mission draws Isabeau closer, another betrayal lies waiting in the shadows - and it’s the most perilous and intimate one of all.

Addicted to books, especially audiobooks. Read lots and prosper!
Another great leopard story by Christine Feehan and the narrator, Phil Gigante, does an incredible read. Characterization and emotion - very, very hot!!
This installment of the series is more like the first two. It takes place in the rain forest and and the characters are wonderful. Phil Gigante does a great job performing the characters and the accents are superb. I could feel the heat and humidity of the forest and the passion of the characters. I highly recommend all the books in this series altho I liked the last one the least.
I loved this book. I loved it in hard copy. I *LOVED* it in audio. Phil Gigante is amazing. Without a doubt, he is the best choice to narrate Christine Feehan's books. (I actually like him well enough that I am going to get other audios just because he narrated them).
He brought Feehan's amazing characters to life. This book is amazing in it's own right, though. Intense romantic scenes. Great fight scenes. Brilliant characterizations that make you root for the hero and *want* the happy ending. She just keeps getting better and better as her various series continue! She is never stale or formulaic. In short? Great book and Great narration!
Okay the story was very good, but the narrator, can I just way WOW. He can read me a story anytime. I hated to finish the book. I hope she uses him more often.
I have really enjoyed the previous books in this series, but they have become way too predictable. Almost as if that changed the names and fit the rest around it. I did enjoy it, but alittle more changes in plots would help.
Am a huge fan of Christine Feehan, had a problem finding this in a store near me when it was released but went to audible.com and there it was I had to have it I have read every book from this author loved the fact that this was there and did not have to wait months to hear it on audible.com.
I like the way the author describes the leopards and their lives. Also love the growly voice of Phil Gigante. He is perfect for Connor! There is a bit too much back and forth between Isabeau and Connor but guess that is setting up the mating game.
It compares to all the other leopard people books by Christine Feehan. She knows how to tell a story. I still like 'Running Wild' with Jake and Emma best.
Ahhhhhh. Mr. Gigante's performance is excellent. He does that growly purr better than anyone and I love his accent. Easy to tell he understands the male animal in all its forms.
Didn't laugh or cry but wanted to hear more about the heat between the mating pair.
the Performance is great but the story was a little much for me. i listened for 3 hours and i was exhausted! it was a good story as Christine Feehan always delivers but was too permeated with really evil people.
