Publisher's summary

Eliza Smith has never been the one to seek a relationship. She's never dated a guy in her life, never even hugged a man (outside of her father/manager of the hot and popular rock band, FireNine) but when she decides to spend her summer on tour with FireNine, it all changes. Eliza really gets to meet Gage Grendel - her former crush from high school and the lead singer of FireNine - and witness sides to him to which she'll begin to truly despise. She'll ignore him, she'll dislike his ways, she'll do anything to try and stay away from him until Gage finally gets her to slip up and give in. She agrees on a casual fling with Gage, but soon they'll both see how the fling will blur into something they can't control, and when it's finally time for Eliza to go and accomplish her own dreams, she'll know there's more she took from Gage than she ever thought possible.

Don't bother!

I must have listened to another book than everyone else....the words that come to mind are insipid, teenage angst, stupidity and above all monotony!

Want to save yourself 10 hours? Girl crushes on boy, girl doesn't see boy for 7 years and poof she is on the road with him and his band. Boy crushes on girl, but he's a man-whore...and this is apparently suppose to attract girl...uh huh....did I mention girl had hellacious childhood but somehow her dad thought going on tour with a rock band surrounded by booze and women and sex would be great for this emotionally stunted 21 year old girl who has never drank, kissed, or even been to a water park....why...because of she didn't have a childhood....and yet she is on tour with a band revisiting the seediest times of her life? The sad part is I actually liked the dad, he SEEMED good intentioned, just really misguided.

So, add in some hormones and some angst and you get a rated R YA novel...but not rated R for steamy scenes, rated R for the way these people are interacting with each other...well I wouldn't want a young person to read this and think for one minute this is how rational people live OY moments of brilliance and then she went all bubbly giggly girl....then we are back to being a wonderful story teller...and poof she's an over the top lunatic when the story didn't call for it...adored Montana's voice, hated Eliza's over half the time.

Overall if you are into the angst and reading stories about 25 year olds who have never been in a relationship and 21 year olds that have never even been kisses then sit back and enjoy, for me I'm returning it, and this series is done for me!

it doesn't deserve even one star

This book needs some editing. The author also needs to do some research. It's just overblown drama for the sake of drama. I'm really surprised at the amount of five star reviews. There are so many better rock star romance books on Audible. Definitely not worth a credit. It's not even worth the $2.99 I paid.

On and on and...

What disappointed you about Who He Is?

I really liked the main character, until she just keeps doing the should I or shouldn't I routine with the male lead, for way too long that I got bored and I couldn't even finish it.

What do you think your next listen will be?

The next Kristen Ashley book....why oh why do we have to wait so long???
