One night changed my life forever. Beau Bennett has been my best friend since I can remember. He was my first crush before everything came crashing down, and now he wants more, but it's more than I can give him. Things are different now. I wish I could tell him why, but I can't. I haven’t told anyone. I never knew how much I really needed him until the day he left for college, and I was completely alone. Then one day, Asher Hunt rides into town with his dark, captivating eyes and cocky grin. He doesn't care who I used to be, he's simply breathing life into what’s left. People warn me to stay away from him, but he helps me forget the pain that has held me hostage for so long; something I thought was impossible before he walked into my life. I’ve been hurt. I’ve been saved. And I’ve found hope. I thought my story was written that night, but now I know it was only a new beginning. Until one secret turns my world upside down… Again.

Yes to credit and I loved the book. Such strong characters and story line. I was crying so hard at times I literally put my face in a pillow and took a 15 minute break from book. I will definitely pass the word on this book and narrator
No comparison. It is so great none is needed
I loved the narrator. It was such a gripping performance that I felt many different feelings in this book. It was like an avelanche of emotion. From love, lust, heartbreak and anger. Loved The book and performance.
The confession of secrets by all characters
Get the book but have tissue and time to hear, you won't put it down but to catch your breathe
It has been along time since a book has made me cry and this one did it.
It is not you typical love story but it covers innocent lost, soul mate, and true love!
I would recommend this to all!
This book was definitely worth the credit! The way the book was written kept me enthralled all the way through to the end. There were heartbreaking moments and beautiful tender moments. Keep the tissues handy! The narration was also fantastic.
I think this may be the best book I have read/listened to EVER!!!!!!!! Loved it!!!!!!!
I loved the napkins..... I will leave it at that ......don't want to give anything away. But there were so many more too.
She did a great job.......but I think... usually if it is a good narration, its always better listening to the books... it makes the characters seem more real, life like.
Oh my, the whole book moved me! I cried soooooo much, this is a keep forever book!
The three people, Beau, Asher and Kate were all very likable, and I was torn between who to want to see together. But in the end, it worked out as best it could under the circumstances.I would definetly recommend this book, its a keeper!!!!!!!
very emotional. You'll feel for all the characters involved. Loved this story. It reminds you how everyone has their own battles
Love a good romance
Love this book but prepare to shed some tears. This book was such a surprise the subject matter covers things that people have to deal with every day not that you want to, how a person or people can come into your live and make such a difference that it can change your life forever either in a positive or negative manor and sometimes both. I do not usually write reviews but I just wanted to say this is well worth the time to listen to or read
I love when the story lets you in. You feel like you can find true love and be honest with them. The guys Beau and Asher were truly good men. They were men that Kate came to know. I love the way they loved her and had so much patience with her. Good read.
If you liked The Fault in our Stars, you will love this book even more! Warning, you will need a BIG box of tissues.
This is one of the BEST ugly cries I have had in a long time! I am a cancer survivor myself, so I may have taken this more to heart. This book opened my eyes to how and what our loved ones go through and feel.
This is a story of a young woman (Kate) who fell in love with a dying young man (Asher) after a horrible incident (Drew). All of this takes place while Kate's best friend Beau stands by not understanding why Kate changed or even what to do. Beau has always loved Kate and Kate has been just existing ever since that one horrible night. It takes Asher to bring Kate back to the living, even though he is on his way out forever. As confusing as this all sounds, it will make total sense as you read the book.
This book is a beautiful, gut wrenching story that had me bawling though most of the book! The author, Lisa De Jong captured my interest from the very start. The narrator, Jennifer Mack did a fantastic job delivering this story to us with so much emotion and love with all her multiple voices.
This is a melodramatic schlockfest of the highest order. I don't mean to say it isn't entertaining. It is, but it's basically a soap. Two different men 'save' our heroine, and if you aren't interested to hear about this, please get off this boat right now because the strangely irresistible Kate is going to tell you this over, and over, and over. This book wants to make you cry SO BAD. I didn't, and I feel like someone owes me a cookie.
...and the character of Beau...sort of a grotesque caricature of wish fulfillment. I wanted to inject spines into basically everyone.
Anyhow have at it. If you're into this sort of thing, this book will be total catnip. If you're not, well - you were warned.
Tough story to tell and downright depressing at times. But I liked it overall. Narrator was good and age appropriate.
"A whingeing female lead who finally grows up"
For the first half of this story I admit to struggling. Once she started to grow up and face life it got better
