Publisher's summary

When she used to walk around her grandfather's property outside Portland, Abby Winchell loved the idea that Bigfoot was somewhere out there, too. Now her grandfather swears he's seen two creatures that fit the legendary description - and he has evidence. Sort of. Grandpa Earl may be a bit dotty, but when his neighbors invite a renowned anthropologist to disprove his theory, Abby decides to send the man packing...until she sees how hot he is.

Anthropology professor Roarke Wallace can't risk news being made of a Bigfoot sighting in the north woods - not with a local pack of werewolves to protect. Disproving the evidence should be easy, but ignoring Abby is not. Her fiery red hair makes him want to sit up and beg, and this obvious attraction is making the pack suspicious.

Critic reviews

"With a spirited heroine, colorful supporting characters, and generous helpings of steamy sex, Thompson continues to supply pleasing...paranormal romance." ( Publishers Weekly)

Ready to smile? Read this!

This is a cute book that will have you smiling at these silly characters in this love story. Fact is the whole series is worth your time and effort to hear or read this series!!! A classic snob/elitist scenario that has you laughing at the goofy man (or woman depending on the book). This is one of my new 'must have the next in this series' books. They will be yours too!!

Book stops suddenly

Book stops suddenly in chapter 25 and chapter 26 is empty. I would like to know what happened next.

Cheesy & Choppy

I love the narrator so much I downloaded the three books in the series (first book not the same narrator).
I enjoy the topic usually, I just couldn’t get into how cheesy and choppy the story is. I couldn’t finish it.

Naked Man in the Woods & peeping Abby

Another good Were story by Vicki and once again Abby Craden nailed the characters, giving them their own individuality and personality. The story was pretty good ,not as good as some of the other stories from the Were series though unfortunately, but still fun to listen to.I still enjoyed it.

Loved This❤️

This was a great listen. Very light, a little unrealistic, but such a pleasure to listen to. I loved the characters. The narrator, Abby Craden, was fantastic doing the female voice and the male characters.

fun and easy listen

This was a much lighter read and not the least bit realistic, but that is what makes it fun. It is like a fun pg-13 movie. Written for a younger audience, or just for the escape. Roark, who is the second son of a prominent New York Pack/family travels north to discredit sitings of Big Foot. However, he is instantly smitten with Abbey, the dreamer in her family. Things heat up when Abbey stumbles across Roark in the woods (with her zoom lens camera). She is surprised when he get naked, then lays down in the forest...then changes into a wolf. The fun just spirals upward from there. Great listen for a bad day! Will certainly bring a ridiculous smile.

Love Vicki's books

Where does Werewolf in the North Woods rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I enjoyed Vicki's "Wild about You" books I've read so far. Her books are light and funny.

What other book might you compare Werewolf in the North Woods to and why?

Her books remind me of Molly Harper and Dakota Cassidy's books.

What about Abby Craden’s performance did you like?

Could switch characters pretty well.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes.

Any additional comments?

I'm going to read more books by Vicki.

Better than the first book.

This second book seemed to have more of a storyline to it but its still just a lukewarm listen. If you're doing something and you want a background book that doesn't need use of many brain cells then this one meets the criteria.

I have already downloaded book 3 so hopefully they get better.
