    "Decent fluffy read"

I found this book through read suggestions and enjoyed it. It wasn't terribly deep, and was a quick 'read' (or listen in this case). If you want a quick book that you can get into, but doesn't require a lot of attention this is one :)

    "very engaging!"

I loved this book when I read it a year ago, and I loved the audiobook as well.

If you like Crusie, it is very different from, and nowhere near as good as "Bet Me" but it still deserves 5 stars! It has humor, likeable characters and lots of excitement!!! More passion and less romance than "Bet Me".

The narrator did the secondary characters' voices really well, too, although not so much the male lead

    "Okay, not great."

Characters a bit old-fashioned and stilted. Took a long time to figure out where the story was going. Pace picked up a couple of times, but didn't follow through. Not my favorite, but I did finish it.

"A sweet listen for someone needing a giggle"

I downloaded this to try a new author and was pleasantly surprised with the wit and fun phrase turning. There are some parts that could use a little more delevopment, but all in all- if u want a romance without porn-style sex scences and a bit of mystery- give this story a try.

    "weegun"

I loved this story. I had to persist to enjoy the narrator. For me she talks too fast. I understand it's written for speedy dialog & I like it but when you are listening to a story you need some time to let your mind figure out who is talking to whom. Don't let it stop you it is a good read! It's LOL funny & interesting.

    "Classic Crusie!"

This hilarious, romantic book is a classic Jennifer Crusie story. It is fun to watch the relationship unfold between our heroine, Sophie Dempsey, the girl from the wrong side of the tracks, and the mayor, Phin Tucker, who may or may not be like all of the mean "town boys" that she has known in her life. I got drawn in with the great dialog and was really rooting for these two to make it! Fun, easy book to listen to -- great narration, great plot.

    Story
    "NOT MUCH THERE..."

Just nothing to get excited about. Slow, boring beginning with ho-hum self-absorbed characters goes to mediocre middle and dull finish. Story and characters were terribly disjointed and mainly unlikable with little humor. Hero/heroine had some inventive sex, but since I didn't really care about them I wasn't that interested. Mystery was pretty pathetic. VERY glad when the whole thing was over.

Narrator gave the fastest speech performance I have every tried to listen to. It was like she was on a lethal dose of speed. I finally had to set my ipod on slow just to get through the thing.

    Story
"Finally a romance book I can enjoy!"
If you could sum up Welcome to Temptation in three words, what would they be?

hmmmmmmmmmmm, funny, well written and far less insulting to my intelligence than any other romance book I have read previous to this one.

Who was your favorite character and why?

The sheriff who begins as a back ground character and develops slowly but is so likeable. Harry Conick Jr. would play him to a T and even has the right accent.

    Which scene was your favorite?

The town hall meeting at the end.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Temptation is not just the name of the town.

    Any additional comments?

I have struggled to want to read romance as a friend of mine (yet unpublished) rights it and several friends read it voraciously. This book did not insult my intelligence by giving me so many details about the obvious I felt them shoved down my throat. I loved the strong independent and family oriented characters and really look forward to reading another book by Jennifer Cruisie. My friend is reading You Bet or something like that and is loving it.

    "Good start …"

… moderate middle part, dull ending. 2 stars for the idea and the beginning, but that's it. Had troubles finishing it.
    Narration was just moderate also
