Publisher's summary

Claire Walters has worked for Jason Danvers as his assistant for three years, but he’s never appreciated her as a woman - until the day she jumps out of a cake at his friend’s bachelor party....

To support her ailing mother, Claire is forced to work a second job at a party-planning company. But when her handsome boss ends up with a front-row seat to the action, she’s mortified - and he’s intrigued.

With Danvers International in the middle of an important merger, Jason asks Claire to accompany him on weekend business trips - and suddenly all her fantasies are coming true. Her outspoken best friend thinks that getting a little "executive attention" will solve everything. But Claire sees more in Jason than just sex.

Jason is determined to know how the beautiful, sexy woman in the cake could also be his mousy assistant. The more time they spend together, the more he realizes how much fun it can be to mix business with pleasure. And how much he wants to offer her a happily ever after of her own....

Feel Good Listen

I really enjoyed this audiobook, the story is warm and anyone in my age group could probably relate to issues in Claire and her Mother’s life living with a verbally abusive husband and the death of a sibling. I like these feel good stories and how strong the women are and that love is never where you think it is, had me in tears at times, Jason is just so cool. The ending was predictable no angst just love. The narration was good.

Perfect light hearted fun fluffy romance.

I was looking for a light and fluffy romance complete with unrealistic story to make me smile and this book fit the bill perfectly. It is a sweet story of a young woman working hard to handle everything life throws at her. The context could have been dark, but the author did an excellent job of keeping it light. Mixed with the perfect amount of comedy and the best friend. This is complete with everyone living perfectly happily every after. Excellent!!! Downloading book two now. Need Fun for a rainy day? This is the one! Great break from the heavier stuff.

It was ok

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

not really

What didn’t you like about Allyson Ryan’s performance?

I really wasn't too impressed

Any additional comments?

The Narrator drove me nuts, I think I have run across so many mediocre narrators lately that I am becoming immune. Listen to the sample before you purchase. The book isn’t bad, if you need a light fluffy read then get this one.

Good...

What a cute book!!! This is one of those slow paced... sweet romance books... Nothing tragic happens....other than popping out of a birthday cake to stare into the eyes of your BOSS... while halfway naked!!! But other than that... Nope... simply sweet!!

Narration was great...

Good buy or sale... maybe save a credit for something a bit more raunchy...

A bit too sweet for me

If you are looking for a story that is easy going, not much drama or keep you on the edge of your seat biting your nails intensity, with some hot steamy sex then this book is for you.

Personally I like a bit of suspense and drama in my stories and everything seemed to come too easily in this book. I mean there was some turmoil, and potential for disaster, but disaster seemed easily averted and I missed that holding my breath intensity.

So, it was a nice book...just a bit too sweet for me.

My favorite, so far!

Sydney Landon is my favorite author. I've read all of her books in both the Danvers Series and Lucian and Lia Series, multiple times. I've recently rediscovered my love for audio books, while walking back and forth to work each day.

First, Allyson Ryan is my new favorite narrator. Her voice is sexy and fluid. She grabs your attention from the first paragraph and keeps it until the final word. The voices of the characters that she quotes are done perfectly. She captures the spirit of the characters, including the men. By far, superior to other female narrators in the romance genre.

Second, Weekends Required introduces us to Jason and Claire, the first of many captivating characters in the Danvers Series. Sydney Landon masterfully brings us characters we can relate to, lust after, and let into our literary families. This series is well written, with just the right amount of love to make it sexy. But, you'll love the characters as much out of bed as you do in. They're hard working, family loving, fun to be around and very sexy.

You won't be disappointed!
