    "Narrator should be retired."

This is only my second review after listening to hundreds of books but I have to make Audible aware of the poor quality of the narration.. I was sooo looking forward to another MJPutney audio but I could barely finish listening. The American Female accents were "horsey" and gruff--not the least bit feminine with diction that certainly did not reflect cultured, well to do Americans. I'm surprised that Brilliance even released this audio as it certainly does not meet their usual high quality.

Book one was okay - Book two had the narrator that totally distracted from the story -and not in a good way. Book 3 was okay. Not a good buy.

    "Shame on you Harlequin!!"

How could you produce, much less distribute such a horrible product?? I love Mary Jo Putney BUT, Helen Stern butchers every single American accent in this story to the point that I had to turn it off and skip to the next author. Her "interpretation" alternated between voices that sounded like she was pinching her nose, had marbles in her mouth or was born deaf and taught to speak (as is my dad so I know from whence I speak!) I wish I could get 1/3 of my money back!!
