Good!!!! Could have been better!!! Lots of sex in this one, lots....it was just okay/good for me.
Did not like the ending

Each book just keeps getting better. Can't wait to read the next one in the series.

I LIKED HIS VOICE IMITATIONS OF THE DIFFERENT CULTURES, BUT NOT ALL OF THEM, AND SOME OF THE VOICES HE SOUNDED STRAINED

HOW AIMERY BONDED AND CONNECTED WITH RONIN, HOW SHE JUST TOTALLY GAVE HIM HER WHOLE TRUST. THAT WAS THE BEST TO ME

I ALSO LIKED HOW THE MOTHER CAME TO AMERICA AND TOLD HER KIDS SHE WAS IN CHARGE OF THE FAMILY BUSINESS, THE ACT OF FORGIVING, SO I'M CURIOUS TO KNOW IF THE NEXT BOOK WILL REVEAL MORE INFO. ABT. SHE'ORI AND KNOX? AND TO SEE IF THE MOTHER WILL FINALLY FIND LOVE AGAIN

Great series

I have enjoyed this series. To bad this was the last one. The characters were wonderful.

Different from the first, in a good way!

Well, I wasn't expecting that. I wasn't expecting a male narrator and at first I wasn't sure I would like it but I slowly got used to it until it seemed natural given the fact that this book explores more of Ronin as the first did for Amery. I loved that he opened up (finally) and the performance by the narrator was excellent in this book as well. It had a great mixture of suspense, lust, and romance. The author did a great job with the writing, the only thing I thought was off was the way the characters used the word "hedging" so much. I've never heard that word used so much in my life! Sometimes it felt frustrating the way Amery demanded so much of Ronin and then ran away when she got it, but it just showed that these two are human and imperfect as we all are. Spoiler alert (kind of): I was infuriated toward the end with Amery's parents and wished there would have been more to it explaining the outcome with them and whether it worked out okay or not before the book ended. To be honest, I don't think I'll read the other books, I think this is a good ending spot for me in this series. I'm not into side character stories for some reason, I've always been that way though. I have really enjoyed this story though and thank those that worked on it so that I would have the opportunity to listen.

This was the 1st time for me... the author, the narrator. (Luke Daniels) has a sexy voice also. That list of sexy male voice's are getting longer and longer. LOL
The story is similar to other books I've listened to.

I can hear Ronin rumbling in my ear. I love the way Amory checks his ass on dumb shit. kind of curious to see where things go with his sister

Almost unbearable

The way the narrator used a constant raspy growling voice for Ronin was down right irritating 🥴 also, I couldn’t stand how frequent the use of GD was!! Last but not least, waaay too many sex scenes. I get it, the book is sexual in nature but because there were so many, it then lost its appeal and “spark”. I didn’t enjoy this book and stopped listening several times.

Almost drop the ball..

Man! Ok.... in the beginning of the book, which is book 2 of the Mastered Series... I was totally making sure I was reading book 2 from the Mastered Series... b/c it started so boring compared to the ending of book 1.

Ronin was all beat and broken from Amery leaving him...but still... it was just eh...

The secondary characters really carried the story along while Ronin got himself together...

Now after Amery and Ronin get back together... the whole Amery is the dom and Ronin the sub...OK... I just didn't like that whole set up... WTF! I get it...why Amery wanted it...but IDK...I just didn't like it...

Maybe it was the narration of this book...but let me tell you... compared to book 1, Ronin was kinda a much weaker character... and Amery came off as a B... half the time...

After saying all of that... This was a good book...which really needs to be read to finish the Ronin and Amery story.. I really think it was the narration, as most of this book was told from Ronin's POV... hence the male narrator... I still preferred the female narrator of book 1 to Daniels... although Daniels wasn't a bad narrator... he just didn't do the same Ronin from book 1... so it was a bit off. The dominance just wasn't on the same level...

Credit this... for price and overall satisfaction...

A good book 2

I listened to Unwound, immediately after finishing Bound. So it took me a little while to get used to having this book told from Ronin's point of view.

It is a good second book in the series and takes this couple's relationship to the next level. Well worth a credit.

I'm still so engrossed in this story that I'm headed off to get Schooled (Book 2.5)!
