November is looking forward to getting to know her father and the safety of a small town. After leaving the Big Apple and her bad memories for Tennessee, November starts working for her dad at his strip club doing the books. The one time she's allowed there during club hours she runs into Asher Mayson. He's perfect until he opens his mouth and makes assumptions. November wants nothing to do with Asher, but unfortunately for November fate has other plans. Asher Mayson has never had a problem getting a woman, that is, until November. Now all he can think about is making November his and keeping her safe.

I really enjoy the world of books! Narration just add layers to that world... don't u think? :)
Boy what a ditz the (h) was... but I totally loved it.. .She was just so darn innocent in her actions... I like the (H) too. Good book 1, I hope all the brother's get their own book...because like their dad says "When it happens, BAM!"
This was like an instant love for the (H) and the (h) but she don't really realize it till the end. The (H) kinda takes over her life, and she lets him, but best of all she could bring her Beast along... (Beast was the dog that saved her life twice)... the (h) has this crazy stalker, a crazy mother, and a crazy life she left in NY...that followed her to TN!
Narration could have been better...I think it was a newbie...that gotta start somewhere...but I think the story would have been way better with a more experienced narrator...It wasn't bad, but not awesomeness either!
Good credit or sale...
The story line was good, but not the best. However, I could have liked it much more had there been a better narrator - Sophie Eastlake for example. I would entertain listening to another book by this author as long as they are not read by this narrator! This narrator would be good for children's books but not adult books.
Why do they hire narrators with such mature voices and little experience with accents?
It sounds so unnatural for her to be portraying a young girl. Picture your 50 year old mom in a mini skirt. There you go.
Also, her attempt at a country accent just makes the character sound like a nasty stereotype of a dumb "hick".
That's it. I'm going to get a gig as a narrator since they're obviously desperate to employ anyone with the ability to read.
I don't understand why this book has such a high rating. It wasn't bad by any means, but to me it was run of the mill and nothing special. It seemed the author threw a lot of details in that didn't matter to the story and I thought they should be more important, like the strip club. Her father owned one and she did office work, mostly from home, but that was it. It wasn't connected to the story. Plus, November was too perfect for my taste. She needed flaws and a more developed personality. Other than her childhood, she was boring.
So sweet...I prefer the story where the man remains faithful once he meets the love of his life...insta love, under the Mason curse of meeting and know you've met the one.
There are twists and issues but I love that Asher Never gives up on her.
Love listening to audio books.
This book is a romantic, slightly violent love story.
November grew up in a world where your mother abused you more for being better than her. It was beat into her that she was ugly and would never be anything, when she catches her man in bed with her mother, things change. She was beaten and left in an alley but saved by a giant dog. She find out her father wants to be in her life and the lies her mother weaved become raveling. As she will try to get her life back in order and healing herself she find her life in turmoil, she though she left the violence behind but it followed her, when a night in shining armor and alpha male attitude come barreling in to save the day.
Never judge a book by it's cover should have been Asher's saying because the min he laid eyes on November, everything he thought she was, crumbled. He thought she was just another working girl, but even if she was he knew the min he saw her, she was his boom. The Mayson men have been known to care fore their heart, especially when they come in the form of a boom and nothing will stop him from protecting what belongs to him.
Love this book, love and a bit action rolled into a love story where the men know what love at first site is.
This book could have been better if there were a bit more mystery
This was first book I've read by her
I thought narrator did great
If you liked this book a lot then the others I'm sure would be worth your time considering main character is super hot alpha male with brothers
I liked the story line and will read more in the series, but I've got to say that there were many times when the sentence structure reminded me of a "what not to do" example in middle school writing. If you are a stickler for grammar, perhaps you should skip this one.
"another narater with no talent"
love the book but wow narater is tragic no effert no gaps so at times she goes trough different chars with one breath no effert to changing voice when it's the male voice. She has a pleasant voice and would be brill if she just slowed down and made an effert story 8/10 narater 4/10
