Would you listen to Untamed Highlander again? Why?

Yes. It was very complicated and compelling.

What did you like best about this story?

I really didn't know how Donna Grant was going to make this work. Hayden & Isla seemed mortal enemies. But she did it. By the end of the book, I was thinking to myself "Of course they would be together!"

Have you listened to any of Antony Ferguson’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes. Just as good as the others.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When Hayden embarassed Isla in front of the rest of the group. Ooh I wanted to punch him in the arm!

Hayden and Iona

This is the fourth book in the Dark Sword series and is a part of the greater Dark World. Donna Grant does create a wonderful world, with many fantastical creatures. So, if you find this book compelling and entertaining, the world does continue and evolve. This series was read as a part of the Audible Escape package.

This is the story of Hayden and Iona. She is a powerful drough, who was forced into the drough ceremony by Diedre. He is a Warrior that is hell bent on killing all droughs. The two fight the attraction of each other, she who wants to die and he wants her dead. However, when they get close to each other they forget everything except each other. The passion they share for and against each other, will it bind them together or rip them apart.

Isla and Haedon

After escaping from Deirdre's mountain Isla wanted nothing more than to die. But Hayden had found her and taken her to MacLeod castle.
When Hayden found out that Isla was a drough, he fought against the feelings that were starting to form.
Get this to find out if Isla won against Deirdre's return of power . Diedre was so sure that nothing could separate Isla from her control.
I am totally enjoying going back to what happened to the warriors before the dragon King's.

Good storyline.

I dislike that Ms Grant is CONSTANTLY using sex in her books. I get tired of the characters grabbing balls and balls tightening etc... I mean it’s more like I’m reading porn than a romance book. If she would curb it back, it would be better. And some of the language isn’t suited for the time period.

FIVE STARS THREE WORDS DRAMATIC POWERFUL ROMANTIC

What's the perfect recipe for a 5 star paranormal romance?

Take a handful of HHW (hunky highland warriors) then add bags of magic and action in equal measure, followed by scoops of tension and torturous sensual romance and a good sprinkling of great characters, blend in some spice then whip them all together by a gifted author and finally make it 'hot'. Then for the topping add the voice of a great narrator and hey presto what have you got? - this fantastic awesome and addictive listen.

Worth a credit? Well my fellow P/R fans that would be a big fat Y E S and they just keep getting better and better. If you loved Lords of The Underworld or the Black Dagger Brotherhood then this series comes under the heading of 'must have' too.

Book 4 was just as good as the ones before

I can’t wait to start book 5. They just pull you into the story as they bring new adventures and of course worry for the people in the story.

Hayden is a chauvinistic prick

He's basically a manipulative sexual predator who cannot control his selfish lust. I simply can't abide a man who uses a woman that he hatefully discriminates against with self righteous excuses. Most appalling is how the penis brain donkey is allowed to get away with it and never actually apologizes or atones for his behavior. The world already is an unfair reality, and this distorted premise of a HEA only perpetuates the acceptance of relationship inequities. I am disgusted with this ending if not the whole (lust) love story.
