Publisher's summary

By day, bashful wallflower Emma Duffy works at her family's bed-and-breakfast. By night, she secretly pens erotic romance hot enough to melt the snow in their cozy Rockies town.

But Emma's real life is about to heat up when her mother books the entire inn to a professional snowboarder, hoping the publicity will put them on the map. In a karmic twist of fate, that guest is Wyatt Lawson, the man with whom Emma had shared the secret one-night stand that became the inspiration for her novel and its dreamy hero. Worse, a film crew is documenting his comeback just as her debut is about to hit the shelves. Emma's only saving grace is that Wyatt doesn't remember her - and hopefully he never will.

When Wyatt arrives in Sterling Canyon for several weeks of intense training, the last tumble he expects to take is falling for a girl, especially one as shy as Emma. Unlike groupies with their hidden agendas, she isn't using him - or so he believes...until the film crew uncovers Emma's pen name and steamy novel.

Wyatt's comeback run can withstand a fall or two, but can his heart recover from this crash and burn?

Overcoming fear of self

Such a great story!! Love how Emma learns how to break out of her timid shell and start living life for herself!! No longer in the shadow of fear and what others think. Cute & inspirational. Great narration!

Another wonderful story in the series. The author doesn't disappoint one bit. You can't go wrong with this series. I'm starting book 4 as soon as I send this.

Unexpectedly Hers

This was a nice addition to this series but left me wanting. Emma, "Saint Emma" as Wyatt calls her, is hiding a secret from everyone. She has a spicy side and has written a book under a different name to protect her reputation and her mother's. After a one-night stand with a snowboarder who she never expected to see again she uses his image to spin her tale. Then a film crew shows up at her inn to spend a month filming a documentary and there is her ONS. Wyatt, his brother, and the film crew show up and he doesn't remember Emma but she seems familiar. This was a slow start but spicy middle but redeeming finish. Definitely a great addition to this series.

Best One Yet!!!

The Series got even better here in Book 3; "Unexpectedly Hers." This story focused on Em and a Big Secret she has been keeping to herself; she haven't even shared it with her two best friends, in fear if everyone's opinion would change towards her if they knew.

As her mother takes off for a month long road trip, Em is left to run Artifact Inn alone catering to a snowboard champion, his brother, a director and her film crew. At their arrival Em was caught speechless when she recognized the snowboarder as being someone she had a risque 'One Night Stand' with a few years ago. But when their eyes meet, she was hurt that he didn't recognize her. Sure, she was dressed more provocative, her hair was in long silky curls that he enjoyed rolling his fingers in, the makeup she was wearing made her look very sultry and she that went by a different name. But still, Em thought maybe something about her would have been memorable; but she guess not.

During the one month stay, several events occur that draws new relationships and friendships. And, just maybe Em is coming out of her safe cocoon. But, just when Em thought she could feel comfortable about herself, someone pulled the rug from under her feet and sent her in a tail spin by revealing her secret in front of the one person she was growing to love.

"Unexpectedly Hers" has several lessons to learn, obstacles to achieve, fears to face, trust to earn & give + Family dynamics to repair.
Ms. Beck gave ALL OF HERSELF when she wrote this book. I found my emotions running rampant; especially in the last chapter and the epilogue.

Kate Rudd did another BRILLIANT, AWARD-WINNING PERFORMANCE for this book. Her voice tones were DEFINED, giving every character their own moment to SHINE!!!

I absolutely recommend this book; the whole series, to others to enjoy as I had.

left me a little wanting...

For Emma to really have it out with her mother, about feeling responsible for her fathers mess up. Being the one chasing Wyatt when he said some messed up things to her. And not knocking Mary on her butt for outing her business. Not necessary in that manner. I believe Emma deserve more respect than she recieved from these people. Other than that. The ending was alright.

LOVED THIS BOOK

This is only the third book I've read of Jamie's and I truly loved it. The story of a young woman who has always lived by her mothers rules finding her own way in life was fantastic.

I have several girl cousins that were brought up in this type of situtation and the story could have been any one of theirs.

It's true to life and captivating good. I loved both Wyatt and Emma.
