Shunned and ridiculed all her life for something she can't control, Samantha Blair hides her psychic abilities and lives on the fringes of society. Against her will, however, she's tapped into a killer - or rather, his victims. Each woman's murder, blow-by-blow, ravages her mind until their death releases her back to her body. Sam knows she must go to the authorities, but will the rugged, no-nonsense detective in charge of tracking down the killer believe her?
Detective Brandt Sutherland only trusts hard evidence, yet Sam's visions offer clues he needs to catch a killer. The more he learns about her incredible abilities, however, the clearer it becomes that Sam's visions have put her in the killer's line of fire. Now Brandt must save her from something he cannot see or understand...and risk losing his heart in the process. As danger and desire collide, passion raises the stakes in a game Sam and Brandt don't dare lose.

It was tedious at times because the narration was so poor - as well as the quality of the recording.
A talented narrator and higher quality production. The story itself was good - I just struggled with listening to it. I would have better off reading this one.
Absolutely not. Tedious and annoying.
Average story - this could have been much more enjoyable with a skilled narration.
Dale yes, but read by Kellie... Doubt it! Her voice is slow and boring and makes me want to fall asleep. This book could have came alive if they had picked someone better! The long pauses too between chapters... Stupid! There is a pause and then there is this books pause and its unreal how long it is! Sad tho, I see they stayed with this reader for the next book and the next.... Good luck!
The preview I read drew me to the book. Nothing wrong with that.
Re-read first comment, its all there!
It could have been better!
Because I like paranormal books, I tried this author. I'd would have liked more background on the characters. The story moved a little slow, but was still a good story. I will be trying another by this author.
I really like the book. I'm reading it as well. That's the reason I got the Audible version. I'm sorry I did. The narration is truly awful.
So I'm over halfway through the book and the only thing I know for sure is that I'll get a continuous running commentary of Sam's bumps, bruises, cuts, headaches, and every bite of food she eats. I'm told she is strong and independent but I'm shown that she is needy and can't seem to learn how to manage her abilities. I decided to skip to the last three chapters and did not find any surprises or changes. Narration was terrible.

I love stories about psychics and what they experience in their "trances." It was good that the protagonist was able to connect to another psychic that understood her dilemmas and questions about her abilities.
When the protagonist experienced the murders of the victims, she actually bled from her own body.
The reading was like sitting in high school and listening to one of your classmates read out loud. She sounded like a young kid and there wasn't much drama or variation in her voice. It kept losing my attention. It was almost like listening to a computer-generated reading.
I enjoyed this story. The concept was light and fun to listen to. the only thing that I didn't like was the narrator and the overall production quality. the narrator was dull and I heard her voice crack several times. she wasn't the worst I've heard, but it was a very straight forward read with no fancy stuff on the part of the narrator.
A good narrator can make a mediocre book great or horrible. With this, it was a mediocre book, meaning there wasn't a lot of surprised. The narrator didn't do anything to make the book more interesting. At times it was hard to follow because there was no change in between the male and female characters. Over all I was pretty disappointed.
The narration is truly awful.
The narrator has no personality and is almost monotone and sounds bored. There are very long gaps of silence which made me keep checking my Mp3 player. I really enjoyed reading the book...could not even finish listening to it because of the narrator.
Almost cried when I saw the same narrator on the other books in the series.. guess what I will be returning..
I really enjoyed listening. this story. I will be looking at more of her books
"Brilliant Paranormal Story"
I thoroughly enjoyed this story, it was a mixture of a murder thriller with a twist of paranormal. The lead character is young woman with physic abilities, which leaves her life in danger.
I am unable to compare this book to any other as it is the first of its kind I have listen too, but you can be sure I will be looking out for more of Dale Mayer's books.
Kellie Kamryn's voice is very pleasing to listen too, it is very natural. She just read the book naturally, without trying to act out the scenes, that is not trying to change her voice to a male voice.
When you start listening to this book, you will not be happy to switch it off until it reaches its conclusion.
