Jeanie loves a New Species and is willing to pay for that love with pain, tears, and heartbreak. She’ll do anything to keep 710 alive but she never wants him to know how she suffered for him. He’s the reason for her mission in life - freeing others like him.

True has a new life working with the NSO to rescue his people. A good life, until he encounters a dying woman - the female who betrayed him. True should feel gratified that she’s finally going to pay for her crimes, but she claims to be a victim, too. He is still irresistibly drawn to the pretty little human who touched his heart and made him want her. When he clasps her hand to offer comfort, his instincts kick in and True will fight everyone to protect her.

4 True Stars

As much as I liked this book I did feel it dragged just a little bit.

I liked the fact that it was the NSO against the humans in a way and that they wanted to police themselves.
There was a lot of action in this book; I really dug that like a lot! I again like that Jeanie worked with New Species even if they thought she was the bad guy.

I think True and Jeanie were perfect for each other his protection of her was so sweet. I wasn't a big fan of Tim O'Bearto in this book but I get where he was coming from totally. But I didn't have to like it.

Let’s see Jeanie was cunning and a forward thinker I enjoyed that she wasn't a weak character at all she didn't just let things go. She fought; she really was the right mate for True.

Again I am going to gush I love the narrator!! She does such a good job I am beyond happy <3
Credit worthy heck yes!

True... what a sweetie!

True was such a sweetie... OMG! Candles! True reminds me of Fury so bad... I like the history between True and Jeanie...almost like Fury and Ellie..but not quite...

I felt so bad when Ellie was questioned....she was so scared... then to be misused by the mysterious Terry... OMG>..

True was such a sweetie though, because he kept asking Ellie to mate him, but when she said no...OMG... I wanted to cry...

Lots of action in this one...which was rather pleasing....book didn't feel so redundant...

Nice!

Narration was great...

Great buy, sale or credit!

True-ly Great Read

I've really enjoyed this series so far. Most books I've enjoyed, but a few have stood out, and True was one of the standouts. When reading paranormal romance, particularly of the erotic variety, there's always the risk of things getting a bit repetitive and stale. This book, however, had a great balance of erotica, romance and mystery that kept me listening with as few pauses as possible till the end.

I like that this author doesn't use the same device to "temper" the romance/erotic aspect in every book. In previous books, she's used drama, action, emotional turmoil, social expectations and other devices to tell a great story while giving the reader the hot romantic action we crave. In this book, it's a mystery that's the key to saving the book from being just another romantic romp in the sheets.

Because it's a mystery, I'm not going to give a real synopsis of this book for fear of spoilers, but I will say that's it's an emotional and entertaining audio experience. Vanessa Chambers does a fine job with the narration, adding to the experience greatly. Worth your time, credit or money.

Awwwwww, it was like Romeo and Juliet!

Romeo and Juliet, New Species style!

What would you do if you worked at a satellite facility for Mercile and felt drawn to a New Species? Gennie would do anything for 710, including sacrifice her own life.

Species 710 has taken a name, True. True is tired of seeing his brethren trying to blend in with humans, they aren't human, they are New Species. He is determined to stay TRUE to his roots and be the man he was meant to be. He thinks often about his captivity and about the human he trusted only to find out she was working with the enemy. Imagine his surprise when he sees her again at a testing facility he is raiding with the task force.

Gennie can't believe her eyes, it is Species 710, he is there, right in front of her, looking at her with rage in his eyes. Doesn't he know she sacrificed everything so he could be free?

Awwwww!!!! What a great star crossed lovers story. I really liked it!

Great for sale/credit/buy!

Great to be "At Home again" with the New Species !

Any additional comments?

I absolutely loved True which isn't much of a surprise since I love all the New Species’ books. It’s romantic, action packed and hot hot HOT... Jeanie, the leading lady, like Ellie is a fierce character. She is strong and very, very brave. Putting her life at risk to save the Species in the facility she worked at made me take an instant liking to her. I grew even more attached to her as the story progressed and we found out in more detail the things she did to help the Species will working at the facility... True, our main man Species, was just a complete sweetheart. Don’t get me wrong, he could and would snap bones if he needed to but with Jeanie he was just so caring and sweet. I fell hopelessly in love with their love. He is sensitive, beyond hot and all alpha when it comes to Jeanie. They are a brilliant couple...

What made me very happy while listening was a lot of the characters’ from previous books were included in this book - and with Vanessa Chambers Narrating it Makes me feel like i'm At Home with-in this story. :)

I’m absolutely living for the next book which I’m buzzing is for "Darkness". My God, the way he is described and just his overall presence in True made me latch onto him. I need his book ASAP Please.. :)

EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT

The 11th book already. Love this series. Laurann did it again with her stories. This one is again a little different from the other ones. This one is about Jeanie who loves the New Species and will do anything for them. However, True doesn't believe her until he touches her and love hits him like a ton of bricks. Ms. Dohner does an excellent job of bringing you in and getting you hooked until you cannot put the book down until you finished it. Plus, she does a great job of giving you a little taste of the next book, so, if you are like me, you have the next book in your library before you are finished with this one. The narrator does an excellent job, as she has in all the other books. She does a great job of distinguishing the characters that Ms. Dohner so eloquently and completely describe. Love this series.

True and Jeanie were good together.

I liked this one as it was my first New Species on Audio. I have read all the other ones. I also know what to expect from this series by now. It is a nice enjoyable read and it continues to be a look at society's issue with accepting those who are different from the "norm". What I liked about this one was even though the villain hated New Species, his main motivation was financial gain. So that was a new aspect to the story.

True and Jeanie were a cute couple and they developed nicely. Their chemistry was good and they were likable characters. I sure hope the author has a book planned for Flirt because he needs someone of his own.

AN ACTION-PACKED, IMAGINATIVE & SEXY LISTEN

Well now that we're on book 11 of this exciting series that never disappoints it goes without saying that any Laurann Dohner fan will love this next instalment of life in the Compound.... as True (aka 710) is the next New Species to find and claim his mate.

There's so much in these books... hot sexy Alpha beasts, excitement, suspense, passion, romance, New Species sex (!!!), thrills, twists, villains and a great cast of characters who all add to the drama filled hours. Both True and Jeanie are loveable characters with a horrific past to connect them and, although True is now free, Jeanie is fighting accusations, lies and an mastermind who wants to silence her. But both of them deserve to be happy for all the trauma they've been through and for being the perfect mate for each other.

Worth a credit? As with the previous 10 it's a definite YES and I suppose this could be a stand-alone listen but you'd be missing key elements and so many great and imaginative stories.

Excellent

The eleventh book in Ms. Dohner's New Species series and not one iota less exciting to listen to.
Here we meet and learn about True and Jeanie and their love for one another. The suspense had me in this particular book and I kept trying to figure out who done it. There were a number of times throughout this listen when I was sure of who it would be and kept expecting the hammer to drop. Boy, was I wrong!!
I have to say, I was very pleased that the majority of this 12 hour listen was spent capturing the excitement of the 'who done it' and how/if they could capture them/him/her... LOL.
And less about the physical enjoyment that True and Jeanie have. It was an excellent balance (or so I thought).
We were also introduced to many new Species that we haven't been told about before this book and I'm looking forward to Ms. Dohner continue the New Species series with more of them joining the NSO and finding mates.
So, the history of the New Species continues as this breed of people still work on procreating. Hopefully, more than just sons. Will anyone be having a girl in the near future.
Of course it's worth your credit/money.
