Publisher's summary

Before his trade became his name, "Tracker" Ochoa was a scrawny Mestizo runaway. Now as fearsome as he once was frightened, he's joined the notorious Hell's Eight, and they have a job for him: he must rescue kidnapped heiress Ari Blake and deliver her safely to the Hell's Eight compound by any means necessary. Turns out that includes marrying her, if he means to escort her and her infant daughter across the Texas Territory.

Tracker hadn't bargained on a wife - especially such a fair, blue-eyed beauty. But the erotic pleasures of the marriage bed more than make up for the surprise.

Tracker's well-muscled bronze skin and dark, dangerous eyes are far more exciting than any of Ari's former debutante dreams. In the light of day, though, his deep scars and brooding intensity terrify her. But he's her husband and she's at his mercy. With the frontier against them and mercenary bandits at their heels, Ari fears she'll never feel safe again.

Tracker, too, remembers what fear feels like. Though he burns to protect Ari, to keep her for himself always, he knows that money, history - and especially the truth - can tear them apart.

OMG!!

This is now my favorite Hell's Eight (Caine's Reckoning) had that honor until now. This was such a great book. I am so happy that Tracker ended up with Ari. Can't wait for Shadow's book. Keep hoping Audible will add the Promises series soon.

Wow

I loved this story. Caine's Reckoning is still my favorite. I cried in this one too. I had read the book on my kindle, but I had to get it for my audio collection. Worth reading & listening too. Sarah McCarthy, I can't wait until Shadow's story comes out. Hell's 8

loved it

Each of the Hell's 8 men have different backgrounds and thus different ways that they approach their woman romantically. Given Tracker's heritage and the verbal abuse suffered at the hands of his father, I could appreciate the careful development of his relationship in an attempt to spare himself heartbreak. And I would not be so quick to assume "the bad guy" is actually out of the picture. As with all Sarah's books....I wish this one was longer....I'll be reading this one again and Caine's Reckoning too while waiting for book 5!

The best of the series

I thought I preferred Sam's story but this one was even better. It was very loving and included all of the aspects you expect from one of Hell Eight. I can't wait for the next one!

Trackers Sin

I didnt like the narrator as much as Cain but for the most part it was good. I just dont understand why the author is so obsessed with anal. It seems to be such a focal point for the book.

Good Narration

The story was equal to the previous Hell's 8 books but the narration was by far better than the previous books. I think Isabelle Gordon did a fantastic job with this book.

okay

This book was okay it was good, but I didn't like it as much as the others. It seemed like the other books evolved around the other characters more. This one had the others in it, but their parts were very small. The wives were almost none existent. They were mentioned and played a role, but not to the extent of the other books. I really didn't like the ending. I will not say here because I don't want to spoil it for anyone else. I did enjoy the book, but I was expecting more or something different. And having to wait until 2012 to find the outcome of some of the issues is just plain cruel.

Average

Would you try another book from Sarah McCarty and/or Isabelle Gordon?

I really don't know. I'm debating on whether I want to take the time and credit to even listen to Shadow's story, which is the next in the series. The only one I truly loved was Caine's Reckoning.

Would you be willing to try another book from Sarah McCarty? Why or why not?

Undecided at this time.

What would have made this romance irresistible?

I prefer passionate romances. This one is just a average romance in my opinion.

Any additional comments?

I have been listening to the Hell's Eight storyline, but after the first one I haven't been happy with the others.

best one of the series

What does Isabelle Gordon bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

emotion of each character matched the voice. The book came alive.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I listened to the whole thing from start to finish in one sitting. Loved it. It was more believeable than all the other Hell's Eight stories, for sure. Slightly sweet but too much. And like all audiobooks, the narrator either makes it or breaks it. This narrator is by far the best one out of all the Hell's Eight series. I will re-listen to this book all over again!

Love this series

I have looked and the next installment is in 2012, why so long? This is a great series, I adore erotica and there needs to be more books by this author. It does have a plot and a very good storyline so don't look down your nose at my use of erotica, it only refers to the intensity of the act. Super series I have all out so far and I listened to them 2 times and plan doing so again probably the first of the year. Good narrator, book 2 narrator sucked, come on audible keep the same narrator, goodness it keeps others from enjoying the book, like before book 2---YEK I almost choke to hear that narrator. Worth the credit or the money and yep I read this author in paperback also. Really enjoy her work. Great author and narrator combo, very good story and yep pretty much a true romance happy ending. I like those :)
