A story about the sacrifices we make for love...
I sneak out of my room every night. My father's guards don't see me. My sister doesn't see me. No one sees me except him.
He's the son of a mafia foot soldier. My father is the boss. I shouldn't even know Giovanni. And I definitely shouldn't kiss him. Our relationship is doomed to fail, but that won't stop me from trying.
Not every girl wants to be a princess. I just want to be free.

"I've always been a fan of Skye Warren ever since I read Wanderlust. Her writing is flawless and tales captivating. Love The Way You Lie is no exception. 5 Stars." (Pepper Winters, New York Times best-selling author of Tears of Tess)
"It's gritty, edgy, and sexy, served to you in the well-written, absorbing style that Skye is so talented at delivering. I can't wait to get my hands on the rest of the Stripped series." (Shameless Book Club)
"...There were twists and turns that I never saw coming! I love when an author is able to keep me guessing until the very end of the book." (Book Fancy Book Blog)
Not sure anymore why I chose this book. It's not what I would normally find entertaining. In fact I found it to be a bit amateurish and the narration came across as a bit dead.
I am disappointed.
Great short set up that really makes me want to read the rest of this series! Dark romantic prequel that really draws you in.
This was the first audio book I've listened to from Veronica Fox. She did a great job.
I love this audio book and the narrator did an amazing job narrating it. She doesn’t just read the book line by line, she does a great job with the different character's voices. Nothing cheesy that made me giggle when listening to her interpretation of the male's voices, like other audio books I’ve listened to before. This novella is a great prequel to this series. I can’t wait to listen to the whole series on audio books. The Stripped series is one of my favorites from Skye Warren, if not my favorite. It’s dark but sexy and hopeful at the same time. I recommend this audio book to any lovers of dark romance. *This audio book was gifted in exchange for an honest review and is all of my own opinion.
I thoroughly enjoyed the audio version of this book but then again I enjoy all of the books this author writes so if you enjoy this author then you won't be disappointed here. The person reading it did a good job and kept me hooked. If you are thinking about getting this book don't hesitate. It is worth every penny!
Yes. It is a short read and it sets up the series.
The young adult romance.
Honor coming in and taking her sister away.
No extreme reaction. Overall tone was sad.
The only thing I really did not like was the inflection that the narrator would give Gio at times. It was disturbing and sounded false.
"Can't wait for the main story..."
Enjoyed the story, a bit tame for Skye Warren but the story was too short to get any real grit.
Narration was very good well paced, and easy to listen to (this is an accolade as most of the audible narrators irritate the hell out of me).
