Golden Heart and RITA Award winner Christina Dodd is universally hailed for her engaging characters and sultry romances. In Touch of Darkness, shapeshifter Rurik Wilder is in a position to redeem himself after a lifetime of killing for profit. There is only one problem: the beguiling reporter Tasya Hunnicutt. She is hunting for the group of assassins who killed her family, and nothing will get in her way—not even love.

I love the Darkness Chosen Series by Christina Dodd! She has a wonderful way of telling a fantastic tale and weaving in romance and action. Her imagination and ability to share it with the reader is top notch! You can't help but to fall in love with the gorgeous Rurick Wilder. I can NOT wait for "Into The Shadow" and "Into The Flame", the remaining two books of the series to come to audible! This series is a must read for any paranormal fanatic! I know I am very glad that a friend recommended these books to me.
I'm an older Latina female who's lived in Tucson all her Life. I'm sagiteirious, 53 visually impaired with 5 babies, (3 little dogs, and 2 big dogs.) I love the out doors, nature, animals, reading, computers. I'm studying to be a hotel manager.
Great imagination, lots of action, suspence and romance. totaly difernent from her usual work, but you can still see her stile clearly in it. I very much admire some one who can veryeate from there usual work and stil do great work. Gret going Mrs. Dodd.
A reviewer at Guilty Indulgence Review Site. I don't go anywhere without a book -ebook or audiobook.
This book has so much going on. It's deliciously sexy, edgy and intense. And with such fast-pace, stopping the book was impossible. Once you begin this series, you'll want to finish all of the four books back-to-back!
This book was extremly predictable, there wasn't much to enjoy about it, i like the first one better. This author is really good, but i wouldn't use my credit on this book.
Say something about yourself!
I like this series...nothing to get really reved up about, but it's a nice distraction during a long drive. In this book we are looking at the second brother...and his attraction to a reporter. The narrator improved the voices, but not much. The premise was lacking on this one as he HAD been with this girl before, but now he falls head over heels...eh...the first book was better, I will get the third and hope for better. It's a nice world, a great distraction, and not a costly title. So, over all thumbs up, but wish it was more.
The narration is great.
There were so many. When the shape shifting occurred, the love scenes and the ending was completely unexpected.
He caught the mood of the characters, made is better to listen to.
No but there were a few touching parts.
This book would make a good movie.
Yes, for those who enjoy paranormal romance.
The scenes in the mountains.
Thoughtful, deep, soothing
I would listen for several hours at a time.
Good book but different from the others in the series. Not my favorite one, but good nontheless.
I thought this story was alright, but I always struggle listening to Richard Ferone's attempt at doing female voices. They end up sounding like nasally, whining, highly annoying women, which makes it difficult to really embrace the main character. I've found this to be true in other books he narrates as well; he does men fine, but makes the women sound so gratingly obnoxious that it takes a concerted effort to continue listening.
As I stated in my "Scent of Darkness" review, Jasha was great but Ann was a wimp, which distracted from the story. Definitely not the case with Rurik and Tasya. These were 2 strong, interesting characters on the search for the missing icon. Of course, they both had their own agendas, and most of the book was the like 'em/hate 'em kind of atmosphere but that's to be expected. Although neither of the books in the series (so far) was a "hang on to the edge of your seat" kind of books, they are still good enough to continue on in the series. You can't help but like the Wilder family and enjoy their story.
