New York Times best-selling author Carl Weber is a master at portraying unforgettable characters and complex, passionate relationships. Voluptuous Loraine Farrow is as successful as she is curvy, but life is never easy when you want to have your cake and eat it too. With her husband Leon confronting issues from his past, trouble arises on the homefront - and more drama is on the way in the form of Michael, an ex-lover desperate to rekindle his and Loraine’s once torrid flame.

LIFE just happens that way sometimes!
WOW that was an amazing story... I never expected the story to end the way that it did. Love makes people do crazy things and I remember something a lover of mine has always told me "No one really knows anyone". The performance was amazing I LOVE Grijo readers they are truly amazing and bring so much life to their performances. I love how characters from previous stories pop up in the book. I simply loved this story never thought it would play out the way it did.
Captivating, Betrayal, Surprising
Lorraine had the makings of a true hero because she is a strong woman, but like all hero's, there is a hidden weakness.
Yes. This one had more intense drama
Friends and Lovers
I gave this story five stars because I found it hard to stop listening to the story. Weber did a great job of pulling the listener into the story line and characters - I couldn't wait to find out what happened next. The story is an instant transition into another world of lust, drama, and deceit - all the makings of a great story. Relax in your favorite bubble bath, close your eyes, relax and get ready to have your mind transported to another world.
My name is Mona and I am an infrequent reader. I found books on audio by accident. I am really enjoying it.
I liked the book because it told and interesting story with a twist that I didn’t count on. The secrets and lies and even losing a best friend, I could really relate to. I was intrigued by the affair and even the demands the wife Loraine made on her husband Leon. They both were trying to justify their infidelity through their anger and greed; Loraine making demands on her lover when she is still married and Leon doing the same, was just not realistic or smart. There were some real in-depth topics behind the scene that I felt would tell a powerful back story as well. Topics such as premature ejaculation, child molestation, adultery, stalking, closet sexuality… And the list goes on.
I hated the book for personal reasons. I could not stand the naïve role the wife played or the arrogance of the best friend. It was all just too much. The book was believable up until the epilogue. I felt like I was seeing an old mob movie in my head. You know the scene where a body is floating in the east river.
Webber is a good writer, but I was not particularly sold on this book or its narrators. I could only recommend this book as a guide on what not to do in any type of relationship.
Wow can definitely relate this to the real world. Great narrators that definitely catches your interest!
I loved this book, I can usually see the dramatic plot twist from a mile away but I was caught off guard with this one until the very end. This is a story that just makes you say WTF but in a completely satisfying way. If you love drama and a story with plenty of plot twists and turns this is definitely for you. This book will not give you the answers to life's tough question but it will definitely give you an escape from everyday life. And Peter was giving me LIFE... I love to get one good crazy ass character in a story. In my *In Living Color* voice, I give this three snaps in a Z formation....
Did not like the characters. Except for Jerome, each of them were delusional hypocrites. I am conflicted. It had its moments. Carl Weber is great. But I am happy to be rid of these characters.
Torn between Two Lovers was a wonderful read with a story that plot that will keep you on the edge of your seat. The plot twist at the end was very well hidden and a great surprise. I enjoyed listening to the 3 narrators for the respective important characters. The length of the book was perfect.

What I liked from "Torn Between Two Lovers"
I thought this author did it for us again and that was giving us a very interesting and intriguing read that I thoroughly enjoyed. This is a story about Loraine, Leon , Peter, Michael and Jerome that was full of 'twist and turns, tricks, lies and deception.'
I was kept intrigued and I was surprised who this 'Big Poppa' turned out to be because this author was able to leave some clues but he did a good job in that they were so subtle and really almost nonexistent for the reader to catch it...at least it was for me!
This novel really will hold your attention whether you are reading and or listening till the end. All I can say is that this author did a good job with this well written story that was so full of drama. I will say that some of the characters really were quite upsetting to me at times. I had trouble with a few characters but for the most part they were well developed, real and well portrayed only to give the reader a interesting read. It left me thinking do you really know who your friends and or husbands really are? Well, for sure the main character wasn't the only one torn between two lover.
"Torn Between Two Lovers" was quite a interesting series. It left me saying Wow, what a read.
The "hanging chads" the author left in the previous novel, "Big Girls Do Cry" were tied up in this novel. This was mostly about the boys of the previous book. There were unexpected twists and turns, especially the very end. I didn't care for the ending too much because I thought it would have been more realistic to use an undetectable electronic device to get the bad guy's confession on tape and then prosecute him. But that was not the case. The Narrators were okay (except Ezra was better) they didn't wow me in any way but were adequate.
