"Torn Between Two Lovers" by Carl Weber ...
"One of Richmond, Virginia’s, hottest, most successful women, plus-sized diva Loraine Farrow finally wants to settle down with her husband, Leon, and focus on her marriage. Trouble is, her ex-lover, Michael, isn't about to let her go so easily.
But things aren’t so simple with Leon either. Painful issues from his childhood are starting to surface in the bedroom. Leon’s seeing a therapist, but what he’s uncovering could destroy their marriage for good—unless Michael does it first.
As Loraine deals with her relationship drama, her best friend, Jerome, is left alone to deal with Peter, a stalker who will stop at nothing to destroy him. Now, four indomitable people torn between love and lust, secrets and lies, will have some momentous decisions to make."
What I liked from "Torn Between Two Lovers"
I thought this author did it for us again and that was giving us a very interesting and intriguing read that I thoroughly enjoyed. This is a story about Loraine, Leon , Peter, Michael and Jerome that was full of 'twist and turns, tricks, lies and deception.'
I was kept intrigued and I was surprised who this 'Big Poppa' turned out to be because this author was able to leave some clues but he did a good job in that they were so subtle and really almost nonexistent for the reader to catch it...at least it was for me!
This novel really will hold your attention whether you are reading and or listening till the end. All I can say is that this author did a good job with this well written story that was so full of drama. I will say that some of the characters really were quite upsetting to me at times. I had trouble with a few characters but for the most part they were well developed, real and well portrayed only to give the reader a interesting read. It left me thinking do you really know who your friends and or husbands really are? Well, for sure the main character wasn't the only one torn between two lover.
"Torn Between Two Lovers" was quite a interesting series. It left me saying Wow, what a read.
The "hanging chads" the author left in the previous novel, "Big Girls Do Cry" were tied up in this novel. This was mostly about the boys of the previous book. There were unexpected twists and turns, especially the very end. I didn't care for the ending too much because I thought it would have been more realistic to use an undetectable electronic device to get the bad guy's confession on tape and then prosecute him. But that was not the case. The Narrators were okay (except Ezra was better) they didn't wow me in any way but were adequate.
Yes of course!
I loved the voice of Lorraine and I also enjoyed the surprising ending.
Emotions and attitude.
I really enjoyed listening to this book. I could not put it down.
Finding out who Big Poppa was.
Probably not, they were monotoned
When the young man committed suicide.
I like the idea of a women being the cheat and in a position of power. Women cheat too.
I figured it out before it ending. :(
Busted in the car!
Got a little teary eyed.
This book is one of the best if not the best audio book I've purchased. Great story line and it kept my interest.
The story had twists and turns and kept me guessing.
The story was captivating from beginning to end. It gave a lot of incite in regards to relationships and how they can have a negative effect on some people.
I was surprised at the end of the book, very entertaining
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Great choice, I love almost all of Carl Weber books.
couldn't put this book down. had me in tears laughing. the way it end left my mouth wide open.

the end hit me by surprise

love me so Carl Weber one of my favorite writers
It kept u wanting to know what happens in the book
Nothing it's fine how it is
No the man who did michaels voice was terrible Michael was suppose to be cute and young the man who did his voice sounded old in his 60's I didn't like that and it made him sound soft I understand he adored lauren but he still could have sounded more manly he made him sound like a punk
"Behind closed doors" would be perfect
Could not believe the ending my mouth was on the floor I truly enjoyed every bit of it :-)
Yes! First because it was read so well by the readers which made it very entertaining. Then it was just a really good book. It made me think of how your selfish ways can often effect more than just you... WOW.
The twist. I also took a lot from the moral of the story and when you get past all of the drama, you will find that there is one in there.
Yes... Ezra Knight sounds so sexy to me in this one and the last book I heard him read. Also, the lady that read for Loreen; love her voice and the way she reads. In both books that I've heard her read, she did a great job. The character that read for Jerome played Jerome in the prequel to this book and he did a great job both times. Now, I don't think the guy that read for Michael had the voice to fit that character. He made Michael sound weak. I've never heard him read before this. He did an OK job but his voice did not fit the character.
It made me gasp when I caught on to who was who but when it all went down and EVERYONE was on the same page, I did laugh out loud.
This was a great read. I'm excited about my next Carl Weber book.
The whole book was "Great" It was the sequel to Something On the Side and Big Girls Do Cry.
The ending was the best.
They were just good
When it came out the husband was in the closet. Sleeping the gay ex-best friend.
