New York Times bestselling author Monica Murphy mixes business with pleasure in the second book of her sexy Billionaire Bachelors Club series…
Marina Knight came to this party for one thing only: To slap Gage Emerson in the face. With Gage poised to snatch up her family’s real estate empire, the sexy tycoon is on the verge of making an enemy for life — even if he can make her melt with a single kiss…
When Gage discovers the alluring woman before him is the key to his latest acquisition, claiming her as his suddenly doesn’t seem quite so cut and dry. To get what he wants, he must get to know the fierce woman willing to face him down — as she steadily steals his heart.
Gage’s persistence and intense passion wars with Marina’s determination to protect her family. As they delve deeper into an affair they didn’t see coming, Marina’s torn: Will she lose her heart to Gage — or everything she holds dear?

Books are to me what exercising is to those enthusiast. My pleasure is sitting down with a good book, its like" Calgon it takes me away"
A lot more development in the characters. And it is never necessary to constantly use vulgar terms for body parts.Every sentence some foul word was used
NOT SURE, most of the writers I truly enjoy do not have books out presently.
Did not have a big problem with Luke Daniels but Kate Rudd may want to stick with childrens books.
Say something about yourself!
This book had great potential but the narration was just awful. The woman sounded like a robot being super careful to pronounce every single letter in a word. It was like she was either talking to a child or someone who didn't know english very well. I had it on 1.5x speed and her speech was still too slow. The man sounded more like a teenager than a 28 year old billionaire. I don't mean his voice, I mean the the character was portrayed. Anything remotely sexual brought out the high pitched 'I can't believe this girl wants to touch me there' type of voice that just was not alpha or masculine at all.
Aside from the narration ruining the book for me, the story was decent. The conflict was different than others I've seen and I've read a lot of romance. I felt like there was a bit too much self doubt in each character and that they caused more problems then they needed to by simple lack of communication and listening to what each was really saying.
Love a good NA/YA and romance.. Run Books,Chocolate and Lipgloss book blog!!
THIS IS THE 2ND BOOK IN THE BILLIONAIRE BACHELORS CLUB, THE FIRST ONE IS CRAVE THAT I READ- THE MAIN POINT IN SERIES IS THAT BILLIONAIRE BACHELORS PUT A MILLION DOLLAR WAGER THAT THE LAST MAN STANDING WITHOUT FALLING IN LOVE WINS A MILLION DOLLARS. IN CRAVE ARCHER BANCROFT ENDED UP HOOKING UP WITH IVY EMERSON- GAGE EMERSON’S SISTER.
IN TORN, THIS STORY IS ABOUT GAGE EMERSON AND MARINA KNIGHT THE OFF LIMITS ITALIAN BAKERY OWNER. MARINA KNIGHT KNEW GAGE, BECAUSE GAGE IS TRYING TO TAKE OVER HER FAMILY ESTATE- THE BROKE ESTATE THAT IS ONLY LAND WEALTHY BUT NOT MONEY WEALTHY- SHE RUNS THE BAKERY, AND REFUSES TO GET INVOLVE WITH GAGE- HE WAS THE ENEMY. HOWEVER, GAGE WAS THE ALPHA RICH MAN, BUT WAS KIND AND LAID BACK. MARINA WAS STRONG WOMEN, AND WOULD NOT BE SNAKED INTO GAGE’S TRAP. BUT SHE COULDN’T HELP IT… HE WAS SO GOOD LOOKING!
EVEN THOU GAGE IS TRYING NOT USE MARINA TO GET TO HER FATHER , HE CANT HELP BUT NOT FALL FOR MARINA. GAGE AND MARINA ARE VERY SPONTANEOUS, AND HAD PLENTY OF DESIRE- THEY WERE MEANT FOR EACH OTHER.. MONICA BRINGS ARCHER AND IVY INTO THE STORY STRONGLY- MARINA NEEDS ARCHER AND INITIALLY WANTED TO USE GAGE TO GET TO HIM.
I THINK READING CRAVE FIRST AND THAN TORN WILL MAKE EVERYTHING MAKE SENSE EVEN THOU YOU CAN READ/LISTEN AS A STAND ALONE.
IF YOU LIKE AUDIO THIS WAS A SHORT ONE- ITS ONLY 5 HOURS AND 26 MINUTES, AND IT WAS NARRATED IN POV BY LUKE DANIELS AND KATE RUDD. I DIDNT CARE TO MUCH FOR DANIEL (GAGE’S CHARACTER) BUT I DID ENJOY KATE RUDD’S VOICE. I LISTEN TO MANY AUDIO, AND BOTH HAD A GREAT SPEED, ALONG WITH GREAT EXPRESSION FOR OTHER CHARACTERS.
