Lauraine Snelling Launches New Red River Valley Series

Trygve Knutson has been promoted from well drilling to heading a construction crew for the fast growing town of Blessing, North Dakota. Though devoted to the land and his family, he sometimes dreams of other horizons. But is he willing to leave Blessing permanently? Miriam Francini hopes to become an accredited nurse in a large city hospital. She is simply tolerating her assignment at the hospital in rural Blessing because it will give her the experience she needs to accomplish her goal. She can't wait to finish her training and head to New York to begin a nursing career. Then Miriam meets Trygve Knutson and all her plans are suddenly in a jumble. She quickly realizes she doesn't want to live without him, yet she's a smart, independent woman - she's even a suffragette. She can't let anything get in the way of her own plans, even if she's in love. Or can she?

Wanted to finish the story

If I had known that the author left so many things hanging for the next book, I would have waited until both were out. I loved the story, would have given it 5 stars except for what wasn't concluded. I think each book should be basically a complete story in and of itself, even if a person never reads another in the series.

How boring

Narrator was good but overall this is a really boring story. I stuck it out until about half way thinking it would get interesting but no, it didn’t, so I threw in the towel and bailed.

Good story, bad theology.

Story was great. But includes heavily feminist themes. Characters acknowledge God often and pray to him often but don’t seem to understand how powerful He is.

wonderful story

This is a good read. Slow start but wait for it. You won’t be able to put it down. You may need a notebook for all the names to keep straight but the characters grab hold of you and you will be able to do so.

Another great story by Lauraine Snelling

I enjoyed the new characters and their diversity and how their lives weaved together. Sweet love story.

To Everything A Season RED RIVER VALLEY SERIES

I do always enjoy Stina Nielsen Narrating. This did not disappoint. I know that these books or the series is a second time round for me but still held most all the moments refreshing it. It was so many years ago listening to the Berklund family. Love them coming from homeland of Norway. Then starting on her family to join them as there is no one left on his side to come to Blessing. North Dakota.
Remembering back so long ago for me I think, May have to be do all the first series settling in Blessing when they settled and called it Blessing. There is the Deaf School they mention several times and how she had a large cheese factory that she started to get caught up on. Good story telling Lauraine Snelling. There must be a writeup about her that I have not found. Did she come the area herself?

Classic Lauraine Snelling!

I loved this story almost as much as the original Red River books. It was like visiting with old friends. Stina is such an excellent narrator too. I would give it 10 stars if I could!

In Love With This Book and Family

Love the characters- and during this CRAZY time it is so nice to be surrounded by this book’s simplicity and the wonderful town. I cried at the near end of the book... a death that was very similar to something I experienced. Brought back such a sad time for me, but it was also very amazing

A great story.

It’s such a moving story

This was my favorite book so far. I laughed and I sobbed. I love all these people and can picture people I’ve grown up with in their characters.
