Publisher's summary

From #1 New York Times bestselling author Sherrilyn Kenyon comes the next thrilling installment in her blockbuster Dark-Hunter series

The Mayans aren't the only ones with a 2012 prophecy…

Long before recorded history, there was a Keetoowah warrior so feared that everyone trembled before his wrath. Only a brutal betrayal by the one closest to him could defeat him. But not even death was the end of a man so strong.

The Time Untime approaches…

Kateri Avani has been plagued her entire life with dreams she doesn't understand. Images of places she's never been and of a man she's never seen. Her quest for answers has driven her to Las Vegas where she hopes to finally silence the demons in her mind.

What she never anticipates is coming face to face with the warrior who has haunted her her entire life. One who belongs to a world the scientist in her refuses to believe is real.

Ren Waya came back from the dead to keep the prophecy he began from coming true and ending the world. For thousands of years, he has fought the same evil that once possessed him. But now that evil has found the one person he can't fight. The one person who, against his will, holds the most sacred part of him.

His heart.

But if he doesn't kill Kateri, the deadliest of evils will reemerge and destroy everyone else on the planet. It was a sacrifice he made once.

Will he be able to make it again?

Repent and Read before November, the END is Nigh

Another novel in the Dark Hunter series that doesn't disappoint. With a strong vocal performance and an excellent story, this "time" Sherrilyn Kenyon gives the universe a three finger salute ([Ctrl]+[Alt]+[Del]). A continuation of the Native American - Mayan mythos, there's more to the Coyote, Buffalo, and Butteryfly story while still leaving plenty of room for my favourite Alantian, Celtic, Greek, Other and Summerian characters. The universe may be coming to an end but the Dark Hunters and their mate's optimism in a positive outcome is evident in the plethora of new babies and pregnancies. Could there be a "Children of the Dark Hunters" series in the offing?

The novel can stand on its own but readers would definately benefit from reading the series in order. At a minimum I would suggest reading Night Embrace (3), Dance with the Devil (4), Devil May Cry (12), Acheron (15), and Retribution (20) before reading this book.

Not as strong as the others in the series

This one felt off to me and confused me. I guess all 21 can not be perfect, so I will move on to the next one looking for what I love about this series so much.

Not Very Timely

First let me say I love the Dark Hunter series and the writing of Sherrilyn. But for me this book is a mis-mash. The romantic connection between Kat and Ren is rushed. And for once there is an over abundance of sarcasm. Even bringing in Ash and Sundown doesn't beef up this story. Introducing the Mayen gods just seems to complicate the story lines. Hot and steamy romance this is not. The story was boring for me and I found it difficult to finish. There was nothing particular interesting about the characters that made me care what happened to them. I found the story lacking. But if you love Holter Graham's voice it may get you through the story.

Too much rambling

I’m a fan of the series. I like seeing the characters develop, but I wasn’t a fan of this book. I understand the writer likes to ramble. I think it’s a chick thing, but to keep my sanity I skip ahead or skim through a paragraph to avoid the redundancy. However this book dragged on for pages and I found myself putting it down threatening not to finish it.

Dark Hunter? Really?

Is there anything you would change about this book?

Yeah, the story. I end up listening to the first 5 chapter 3 times before continuing I kept getting lost and thought I wasn't paying attention but in truth it was all over the place. Even so some names and characters were familiar with the Dark Hunter series it was missing a clear story line. In some parts too much inner rambling, life lectures, too much jumping between their present and their past, etc.

What do you think your next listen will be?

Waiting for Rapture J.R. Ward.

Which character – as performed by Holter Graham – was your favorite?

Love Holter Graham, he is one of my favorite narrators. He does a wonderfull job giving life to the words.

Do you think Time Untime needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

Please no, leave this story line behind...I'm actually looking forward to the next book Stixx.

Any additional comments?

I was relistening to some of the earlier Dark Hunters books and this one doesn't seem part of the series. Don't get me wrong I love the series but I notice that the last 2 books were moving away from "vintage Dark Hunter"(don't know how else to explain it). It's not what I have come to expect from the Dark Hunter seires. Not one of my favorites...but not ready to call it quit on the series, still have hope it will get back on track with the next book

too short and very Kenyon generic

What would have made Time Untime better?

the first half was so boring and then by the time it got good she threw her generic love story formula in there and ended the book even the sex scenes are predictable if you've read more than 3 of her books

What could Sherrilyn Kenyon have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

not make me wait so long for a generic short cookie cutter romance novel that will be my last Kenyon purchase believe that!

How did the narrator detract from the book?

very monotone narration made it hard to pay attention to and he pronounced alot of the characters names wrong and Talon is Celtic not english so he has like a scotish/irishy accent theres no reason he should have sounded like Pierce Brosnan

What character would you cut from Time Untime?

i don't know i was confused for half the book who was who because all the guy voices sounded the same

Any additional comments?

i want my money back the narrator was awful

Time Untime

After listening to this narrator read The Dark Side of the Moon I can't even try to listen to any other books read by him in this series. His voice is all wrong for paranormal romance

Not a good read

To many story line’s. Character’s had too many names and there were too many flashbacks to keep up with.

Was this really SK?

The story seemed written by a poor SK impersonator. Too generic, not enough depth to the main characters, action was bouncy, even the steam was lukewarm.

Oh well, even Kenyon deserves a break once in a while. Fingers crossed for the next one.

I am NOT giving up on the series which has been nothing short of spectacular.
