Suzy is a control freak and has her life mapped out-work hard, find a man with a stable job, and live happily ever after. She's content with the status quo, but her plan comes to a screeching halt when he enters her life and turns it upside down. City gave up on love when his heart was crushed in college, preferring to be the typical bachelor. He spends his nights hopping from one bed to another and his days working at his family tattoo shop, Inked. A chance encounter on a dark road makes him question what he had sworn off forever - a relationship.
A night of passion and lust causes them to question everything. Is City the knight in shining armor to the damsel in distress? Can their relationship survive when a fantasy falls apart and a secret comes out that changes everything?
Contains mature themes.

I'll start my critic with the narration. The male narrator kept jumping from a horrible Chicago accent to a horrible cross between an Italian and Spanish accent. The female narrator was way too breathy.
The story itself was basically nine or ten sex scenes with an extremely weak plot and dialogue in between. There were so many inconsistencies in the story line that it was almost laughable. These errors should have been caught before the recording. I'm definitely returning this one and would not recommend it to anyone.
I have mixed feeling about recommending this book to anyone. I didn't think this story was well thought out. There were parts of the story that were disconnected and did not go with the characters development. I found Suzy to be whinny and to insecure and I didn’t feel that she grew out of that by the end of the book. I also never came to care for her character and ended up losing a bit of respect for her in the end.
I liked the family aspect and City was a great alpha male character, but I couldn't get into his relationship with Suzy.
I didn't like the female reader in this one. Her voice made Suzy's already lackluster dialog worse because it seemed forced. There was also a huge difference in the way the readers interpreted the accents of the main characters. It was hard to get into.
Yes I would say it was worth listening to but it is not something I would listen to more than once. I tend to like to listen to books in my library over and over and this will not be one in my rotation.
I am aware this is part of a series and I hope the others are better or that they at least have a better listening experience.
ok I love this whole series as I have read them but being able to listen to both the narrators saying the parts was awesome made it so much better can not wait to listen to the rest of them
The story I loved it
When City saves Susy from the jerk in the parking lot that she made the mistake of going out with as she thought City wasn't the right kind of guy to date
I liked how they each did a chapter and made the story their's
Love this Italian family
I enjoyed this story but as I always say It takes away from the listening when the female reads the male voice with a not so male voice and then the males reads and you get a different picture of what the male should look and act like. worth a credit
I found myself quickly falling in love with the Gallo family!! Joe is one sexy piece of tattoedness!! He is an Alpha but not a JERK!! He's had his heart broken but when Suzie shows up in his life, it starts to mend before he even knows it!! The narrator's in this book are perfect!! They bring such life to these character's!! PERFECTION!! I can't wait to get to the next in this AMAZING SERIES!! Chelle Bliss is now one of my top favorite Authors!!
This was a good story. I enjoyed listening to this especially while doing mundane housework. The female narrator's voice was a bit hard to envision as Suzie's voice but the male narrator was spot on as City's. I'm eager to read/listen to the other installments in this series.
I can't say it is better than the print because I have my own inner voice that is absolutely fantastic at playing out scenes, but the audio gave it something I couldn't have. I could sit back and imagine the exact scenes as the book was being read to me. It was a lot hot and a bit naughty! It added to a book I already loved and characters I already adored.
There are so many things I loved about this story. City is my all time favorite character in this series. I almost forgot that after reading the last book but rereading Throttle Me reminded me how much I truly loved his book. He is alpha to the max and he takes care of the women in his life even as he respects them and cherishes them. He is tough and strong but knows when to back away. I love how he respects his mom and how he takes care of Susie.
I have never listened to either of them before. I have to admit I loved their voices. Nelson Hobbs could pull off the tough voice and I loved it. Lucy Malone had the soft Susie voice I imagined.
Listening to Throttle Me was a decadent treat. Hearing my favorite story being told rather than me playing it out in my head was unreal. Men of Inked readers need to experience it. I could listen to it over and over. Chelle Bliss has an amazing talent and when the book is just as enthralling the second, third and fourth time I've read it it will always be a favorite.
I love this story and I couldn't get enough of Suzy and City
Love City, badass, tattoo, filthy mouth, love him and Suzy together
I thought they did an amazing job
Men of Inked
Must read. I love this book and couldn't stop listening to their story. Chelle does such an amazing job. I have read all the Men of Inked series and loved every single one
I've never heard so much juvenile angst from adults. I could only think, "Go ahead and ask her to the prom already!" Mind you, these are adults pushing 30 and well past the prom years. This was quite honestly a "did not finish" book, and I almost never fail to finish something I've paid for.
Lack of maturity and an insipid heroine.
Narrators are fine.
I would never have produced the book.
Wish I could get my money/credit back on this one.
"Great Read and an even hotter listen!"
I loved the book, so decided to listen to the audio version and it didn't disappoint.
It took me a while to get used to Lucy Malone being the voice of Suzy as it's not how I imagined her sounding but Nelson Hobbs is exactly how I thought City would sound.
A hot read but an even hotter listen.
First book in the Men of Inked series. Hot alpha male City comes to the rescue of uptight goody too shoes Suzy. Things get hot and heavy pretty quickly. If would seem that City, hot tattooed biker, who normally doesn't see a girl twice, is all in with Suzy. Suzy on the other hand is looking to settle down with a suited businessman. No bad boy for her. Their sexual chemistry cannot be denied. Can they work on a relationship? Enjoyable read, Definitely looking into the next book in the series.
