What if wishes really could come true? It’s the question facing waitress Bree Walker when she awakens in the hospital following a blizzard in sleepy Panama, Vermont. While she can’t recall the near-tragedy that landed her there, she’s overcome with the certainty that she has been granted three wishes. One seems to have come true already: At her side is renowned author Tom Gates, the accident’s only witness, who came to Panama to make sense of his fame - and who now makes Bree his cause.
Suddenly, the things Bree has wanted most - a home, a soul mate, a family - are within her grasp. But are the wishes real? And if they are, what is their price? As Bree and Tom consider what their hearts truly require, they discover that to live their dreams, they will have to take unimagined risks….

"An excellent storyteller." (Publishers Weekly)
"[A] heartwarming, tear-jerking small-town romance...." (Kirkus Reviews)
I love being swept away by a new romance and thankfully Audible's ever growing Library means I get to indulge myself over and over again
How can I sum up Bree and Tom's story.... a heartbreaking riveting romance - but have your tissues ready!
I enjoyed this book very much, but kept hoping what the end wasn't going to be what I feared. All the characters were well defined. This is one I might listen to a second time.
Wow so much emotions, it really makes you think about life and love! It makes you remember the small things in life are what's important, not to be angry and hold grudges forgive and live life happy. 💜
A tear jerker, but a wonderfully written books. All the characters had depth and personalities that held my interest. Thought provoking, as are all of this authors books.
I read this book by recommendation of a friend probably 13 years ago. If you have ever read a romance novel they are all very similar. This one, to me, is world's apart from the norm.
I would definitely recommend this audiobook to a friend. It was well written and also read ina way that made me want it to continue.
I have not listened to any of Jen Taylor's performances before but she is now one of my new favorites.
I really enjoyed this book from start to finish. If you like a little suspense as well as characters that make you feel good, then this is a book you will want to purchase.
PLOT: a auto accident brings together 2 lonely people.
Bree is the local waitress adored by the people in her small town and new comer Tom ends up in a fender bender and Bree is hurt. She becomes his new"cause" and they become close when she is recovering. Tom is a best selling author who has lived a very selfish and shallow life til he falls for Bree. This is a good story and will keep you interested. The tear jerker ending is not what I expected and decreased my enjoyment of the story. I give it 3 STARS for reader, STORY which rather disppoints and over all performance.
