Publisher's summary

Three nights of danger...

When her brother was arrested for murder, the ton shut its doors to Marietta Winters. No one would help her save him from the gallows - no one but Gabriel Noble. In exchange for taking the case, Gabriel requests three favors from the desperate young beauty, and Marietta has no other choice but to make a deal with the sinfully handsome devil.

Three nights of pleasure...

Searching for clues in the rough underbelly of London, Marietta must masquerade as a shamelessly wanton wench - much to Gabriel's delight. But Marietta swears to herself that her passionate moans are just for show. She could never fall in love with such a maddening, arrogant, seductive stranger...could she?

Three nights of sin...

Night after night, she satisfies his wicked cravings. But soon Gabriel wants more from Marietta than just three nights of sin - and even a sordid secret in his past won't prevent him from trying to possess her forever.

Delightful Regency Romance with a Good Mystery

I don't understand the reviewers who thought this book wasn't romantic. I thought it had a very nice love story and a great mystery plot. Although I do enjoy a hot and steamy romance it sometimes comes with no real plot. With this gem of a book it had a great mystery with a side a romance. I guess you have to be in the mood for this type of book. If you just want hot and steamy you should read a Maya Banks book instead.
Don't be fooled by the awful cover art and title (who comes up with this stuff) this was a great book.

No Titles Required

Our hero is not a duke or an earl.
Gabriel is a butler's son that ran away from home at an early age. What he became was a man with money who helps people....for a price. We never know exactly what his limits are in what he will do for clients--which is interesting. He charges some people, but others will owe him 3 favors.
Gabriel is approached by the sister of an innocent man that's about to be convicted for a series of murders. The story, and romance, takes off from there. With lot's of twists (some leading back to Gabriel's past) and a heroine that is involved in the investigation *and* believable, this is an excellent book.

The narration was well done with one exception: There was more than one scene in which a character is supposed to whisper, and didn't. It seems like a small thing, but because of that error, there was no intensity where there should have been. Some scenes could have been much more emotional and memorable. This won't stop me from enjoying this story a second time. Overall, it was very well done.

Where are the three nights of sin?

After all the reviews, I was troubled that I could not find an interesting story or real romance. This book entreaties the potential reader to think the hero will demand three nights of sin from the heroine as payment for helping her brother. However, this isn't so. The book is convoluted and the sex is so-so. The narrator was pretty good, too bad she outperformed the plot and storyline.

Excellent historical romance

This book has all the elements of a good historical romance. Great story with just the right balance of mystery and romance is combined with strong, interesting characters who are well developed. The narration contributes, making the listening enjoyable.

Good addition to my library.

More of a Mystery than a Romance

This story was great if you want a little romance mixed in with a mystery. I enjoyed listening, but I like romance for Romance's sake. I am not sure why the books is titled Three Nights of Sin??? The heroine basically lives with the hero for most of the book. There are some sweet moments and like I said the underlying mystery was good. Just not what I was expecting.

Maybe I am wrong, but I would have liked for them to spend a bit more time gettting to know each other through exchanging words and not just through internal dialogue. Not the worst book and I would read it again, but when I am in the mood for a good mystery. Plus I was not crazy about the hero being Molested...at 16...by a group of attractive women...What???? The author addresses this in the book, but it was just...wierd!

I think the heroine is likeable and it is very admirable that she wants to save her brothers from ruination, and false murder charges. On the other hand, the heroine's brothers are pathetic! They are selfish and immature, squandering their fortune and expecting their sister to take care of them! You can see why she falls in love with the hero.

I would say, give it this a try IF it is on sale. I

A mystery that threw in some romance

I read the reviews on this one and thought, oh boy a good romance book. So....not a romance. Half way through I looked back at audible to see if I had accidentally downloaded a mystery instead of a romance. I would label this a mystery, and lets throw in some limp sex scenes to make it a "romance". I think as a mystery this story could have stood on it own. its a semi good mystery but as a romance it falls way short.

The lead character is a self made man and that's admirable, the female character is a down and out aristocrat in serious need of help. The plot become twisted and tangled leading the reader down several wrong paths that become confusing as fingers get pointed in every which way but the right one. The love scenes are awkward and disconnected and I did not feel any chemistry between the two characters. While Anne Mallory had a good concept, I think trying to mix the mystery with the romance didn't quite come off and made the story weak it the romance part. The characters themselves are quite human and afflicted, but together they are just dysfunctional and disjointed.

Needless to say, I wasn't a fan. I think if you really like mystery/romance you will probably enjoy. I would have liked this story better had it been a romance/mystery.

Good romantic mystery

Narrator, Angèle Masters did well, though her male voices were much of the same. Hard to know who was speaking at times.
Rally liked the story, kept me captivated. Wanted to know who done it and why. Was quite surprise on how John's (Gabriel's friend) part in it all, ended. Would of liked to know what happened to the "Bitch" that started it all.

Great Story... Narrator a bit to short and brash.

This was a great story. It was full of romance and mystery. Both the hero, Noble, and the Heroine, Marietta, were very strong characters, not sniveling, wimpy or whiney. Great chemistry between the two. Has Hot and steamy sex, which is always a plus too. Lots and lots of dialogue. I love dialogue in books rather than just reading/listening to the "thoughts/feelings". The writing was excellent. The narrator made the characters seem a bit short and brash in their dialogue. I had to imagine it as if I was reading to rid the effect of the short brashness. I would highly recommend this book, more so to read rather than listen. Not the worst narrator I have listened to, but not the best by far.

Sins that turn out to be blessings

Would you listen to Three Nights of Sin again? Why?

Definitively! This is such a compelling story. You think you know what is coming but that is false. The story is goes deep into the human soul, at some times.

What did you like best about this story?

The way the characters are unravelled. Layer after layer is exposed, and all new turns take you by surprise.

What does Angèle Masters bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The different voices to the different characters. It makes it easier to follow the plot line.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Before redemption comes sin.

Almost Perfect.

If you could sum up Three Nights of Sin in three words, what would they be?

Historical - Romance - Mystery

What other book might you compare Three Nights of Sin to and why?

I have not read it yet...

What does Angèle Masters bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Angele Masters did a great job performing both the multiple male roles and the female ones. From high class to working class.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Agatha Christie and Mr. GQ meets Jack the Ripper.

Any additional comments?

I have read thousands of books. What I liked so much about this book was that Anne Malllory broke the mold or rather broke out of the mold with Three Nights of Sin. There isn't a book out there that I can compare this one to, it is one of my all time favorites.Congratulations to Ms. Mallory for her first audiobook. She really raised the bar with this one! Thank goodness a great narrator was chosen to record it.
