Publisher's summary

When the Lusitania sank, more than 1,000 people died. One passenger, however, survived to become a changed man, giving up his life as a petty thief but keeping a small silver statue that would become a family heirloom to future generations.

Now, nearly a century later, that heirloom, one of a priceless, long-separated set of three, has been snatched away from the Sullivans. And Malachi, Gideon, and Rebecca Sullivan are determined to recover their great-great-grandfather's treasure, reunite the Three Fates, and make their fortune.

The quest will take them from their home in Ireland to Helsinki, Prague, and New York and introduce them to a formidable female professor whose knowledge of Greek mythology will aid them in their quest; to a daring exotic dancer who sees the Fates as her chance at a new life; and to a seductive security expert who knows how to play high-tech cat-and-mouse. And it will pit them in a suspenseful fight against an ambitious woman who will stop at nothing to acquire the Fates.

Don’t know what’s better the story or the narration!!!

This is the best book I’ve listened to so far. The narration of amazing. Ms. Quigley’s ability to change range based on character is nothing short of amazing. Even female character has a unique sound and, even better, the male characters don’t sound forced. Meaning her performance is so good you are able to focus on the character and not get distracted by a woman trying to sound like a man as we deal with in some narrations. Keep up the great work!!!

Fantastic, Fascinating Fates

An artistically woven story of a series of events that begins with historic tragedy, sacrifice, and redemption that then reaches into the present. The intricacies is the plot draw one into the lives of many fine and diverse characters. The pace carries the reader forward, yet one wishes the end of the book came much later. The narrator makes the characters come to life, and gives the reader more than one could expect. Excellent and unforgettable as all is brought together in a strong finale.

Another hit

What did you love best about Three Fates?

I love the intertwining of the relationships with the fates.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I love the Irish family. The personalities of the individual members were realistic of what real family relationships are.

Have you listened to any of Bernadette Quigley’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

This was the first time I've listening to Bernadette Quigley and I thought she did a wonderful job handling all the different characters. I always knew who was speaking.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I didn't listen to this in one sitting, but I did extend my listening by an hour twice. My audible account is my luxury because I travel for work and these books help pass the time.

Any additional comments?

Another hit for Nora Roberts - well done!

Book would be better than the audio.

What did you love best about Three Fates?

I loved the story, as I love to read/hear Nora Roberts.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Three Fates?

I enjoyed the way six people were drawn together and bonded by "fate".

Would you be willing to try another one of Bernadette Quigley’s performances?

No. Her Irish accent and her speaking so fast made it difficult for me to hear the words and I had a hard time differentiating which of the characters were speaking. I had to continually rewind and re-listen to be able to follow the story line.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Not really

Any additional comments?

It is a good book. Perhaps with a different narrator, I might have enjoyed it more.

Whole book pronouncing main character name wrong!

How does a producer, editor and whatever the process goes through release a book where the narrator pronounces the main characters name wrong? How? Not only is it spellled exactly how it is pronounced normally but hints throughout the book tell you how it should be pronounced. It is NOT Mal-a-key, it is Malachi...aka MAL-A K eye. it is an old Irish name AND the character even says he and his siblings are biblical names. Please, someone tell me where in the bible mal-a-key is EVER mentioned. It ruined the reading for me everytime I heard her say it. I don't understand how it got released this way

Great story with unforeseen twists

Really enjoyed listening to the story. In the beginning I thought I knew how it would go but oh how I was wrong. I really enjoyed the diversity of Nora Roberts in all of her writings. This book was no exception and left no regrets about listening to it.
