Had to pace myself so it would last longer. Really liked this book. He was stubborn but so was she. Always laugh at the antics of Shirley, Goodness, and Mercy

This was a wonderful story about the love and grace God has for His children. It was a lovely Christmas story.

Who doesn't like to start the season off with a sappy, feel good, angels book? I have since found some really different, interesting, Christmas reads. These books make good Hallmark Movies

A sweet Christmas storie

I'm not a religious person; however, I love these stories. Super sweet and very Christmassy. If you love Christmas please read for a few laughter and tears of joy.

I love Shirley, Goodness & Mercy stories

Would you consider the audio edition of Those Christmas Angels: A Selection from Angels at Christmas to be better than the print version?

I'm not sure that it's better, necessarily. I read the first three Angel books years ago, and thoroughly enjoyed them. I love reading books, but listening has become more convenient these days, as I can do it while working, and no one can tell it's a book, not music.
I'm sure a lot of people find the Angel books sedate or even boring because there's no sex, cursing, or "ACTION". But that is precisely why I like them so much. This series is just a good read of a lot of sweet stories, with an abundance of Angel mischief thrown it to make it fun.

A charming Christmas Story

As always, Debbie Macomber's story about Shirley, Goodness, and Mercy is enjoyable and lighthearted. I hardly put my IPOD down from the minute I start the story. This is a feel good story with touching parts and funny parts. I have read all the angle stories and look forward to more.

Another Classic!!

I can't say enough good things about this author! She has an amazing imagination- and continues to create heartwarming stories that are fresh and entertaining! This narrator is wonderful, and brings the story to life!

Christmas cheer

What did you love best about Those Christmas Angels: A Selection from Angels at Christmas?

This is one of those novels that is intrinsically Christmas-ey without being strictly about Christmas. Macomber takes some absolutely ridiculous situations and brings them to life in a realistic way. She also takes some very difficult real life situations and creates a very unique tale. I love how this reality mixes seamlessly with the angelic. The final chapter or epilogue wraps everything up nicely without being cheezy. It’s simply a conclusion to the tale that leaves you feeling satisfied.

Watching these characters get to know one another was absolutely hilarious at times and completely heartbreaking at others. You get to know them so well that you can’t help but love and feel for them, each in their own way. They are both very strong characters but so different from one another that it’s a striking relief. I really appreciate how Macomber takes the time to introduce you to both main characters’ pasts and presents, both how they perceive themselves and how others perceive them. The supporting cast was also great. The angels were absolutely priceless. Although they are a staple character throughout this series, you can easily get to know them through just this tale.

Overall, this was a brilliant Christmas tale that can be read either as a standalone or as part of this series. I’d definitely recommend it to those in need of a bit of Christmas cheer presented in a bit of a different manner.
