After losing her parents in a car accident and her sister to a house fire, Christy Reed has been mired in grief. Life is finally starting to feel normal again when an envelope arrives in the mail - addressed in her sister's handwriting. And the note inside claims she is still alive.
FBI Special Agent Lance McGregor, a former Delta Force operator, is assigned to reopen the case, but he's coming up with more questions than answers. If Ginny Reed is still alive - who is the woman buried in her grave? Where is Ginny? And is Christy a pawn in a twisted cat-and-mouse game - or the target of a sinister plot? As he digs deeper, one thing becomes clear: Whoever is behind the bizarre ruse has a deadly agenda.
Best-selling author and two-time Christy Award finalist Irene Hannon warms listeners' hearts as they root for a romance between Lance and Christy, but she pulls out all the stops as this high-stakes thriller chills to the bone in a race to the finish.

Very well written, very well read - a mystery that doesn't give its self away until close to the end. Holds your attention. Mystery, love, intrigue and just the right touch of reminding us how close Jesus is in our every day lives.
The hardest part of listening to books by Irene Hannon is waiting for her next book to be released! "Thin Ice" is a great listen. It is superbly written, a perfect blend of edge-of- your seat suspense and romance. Therese Plummer is an excellent narrator. I can hardly wait for the sequel!!!!
The detailed description of cruelty to animals was completely unnecessary. Stating he was cruel to humans and animals was all that was necessary. Therefore, I rated the story as low as I could. The rest of the story was fine, but these cruel details were not only not necessary but I almost quit listening completely. I decided instead to fast forward through any conversations regarding him. Therefore, I missed part of the story, but I'd rather have gaps than listen to detailed cruelty. These books are supposed to be Christian mystery and are supposed to be entertaining, not leave you feeling as sick as he is.
This is the worst story of the 3 in this series because of the detailed animal cruelty.
Excellent narrator, just excellent!
I love Christian fiction and cozy mysteries. I'm blind now, so I listen to all my books.
Am loving this series about the McGregor brothers, the women and career changes in their lives. As always the suspense was top notch. The characters are always well developed and believable. Looking forward to Tangled Webs which will showcase, Finn, the youngest brother. As always Ms. Plummer gave a stupendous performance. She always adds another rich layer to the best novels, such an additional blessing.
An avid book reader who absolutely loves having the opportunity to carry my favorite books everywhere I go and listen to them anytime I want
One of the few book without violence, blood, shoot outs, foul language or sex. I'd recommend this book to anyone. Good story, not too far off the path of reality
especially if you have a warped, vindictive mind set.
And, so glad to find an author who writes about belief and strength from God. There is not a lot of religion/spiritual spit out or quoted, put very subtle private conversations between two individuals who talk about the problems and trials they have recently faced. And in the end, the faith they have will bond them to each other.
Deeper characters. Less mental/verbal drool for the the characters.
If this is how her books are written, probably not, to cheesy for me.
The performance was "ok" but it was hard to listen to the constant inflictions of desire for the characters. The male voice has an egotistical inflection that made for several "eye rolling" occassions
This a wonderful book and the audible version really heightens the suspense. There were even times when I had to walk west and come back later.
