Publisher's summary

1231 A.D.

After a nasty skirmish along the England/Scotland border at Bog Wood, a badly wounded knight has crawled off to die. As women from the Clan Scott fan out across the battlefield to collect the spoils of war, one woman breaks off from the pack. She is sickened by the tradition of stealing valuables off the dead and runs off to hide. In her hiding place, however, lingers the badly wounded knight. The young woman is frightened at first but her natural instinct to lend aid takes over. She tends the knight and saves his life. Little does the Lady Jordan Scott know that she has just saved the life of the dreaded English knight known to her people as The Wolf.

Nararator Creepy

This is a good story and I'll be buying the book in written form because Guy Veryzer's voice is menacing and extremely creepy.

Great story!

I am enjoying all of Kathryn Le Veque's novels. Her research for hisotrical accuracy is very well done. Her characters have depth, and there is always something to the stories besides the romance. THE WOLF is another good one! I played the audio on double-time. The narration was WWAAAYYY to slow otherwise.

I love this book!!

I love this book so much I was so sad when it ended. It was like an entire series all wrapped up into one book.

I will definitely be listening to this again in the future!

Narrator made it hard to listen to the story

What did you love best about The Wolfe?

Good story with a taste of history.

What other book might you compare The Wolfe to and why?

None

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Guy Veryzer?

Brad Willis. Guy Veryzer style made it hard to keep listening to the story. His voice will put the listener to sleep.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

No reaction. Was hard enough to get through the listening because the narrator was not appropriate to the story

Any additional comments?

Bring back Brad Willis for this book. Guy Veryzer has ruined the book for me.

Wonderful Scottish romance

Being of scotch Irish heritage and a romantic I love this story. I laughed and cried with the characters and felt like I was there with them

“The Wolfe”

The story is written so well -I got caught up in the action, the characters, and their love for each other. The narrator in the beginning seems slow and sluggish but once I speeded up the narration to 1.25 it fixed the problem. I love audiobooks and I read and listen a lot and this book is awesome, the author is fantastic, she writes without missing a thing and at the right speed. This is a wonderfully thought-out and engaging story. Now go read or listen for yourself and enjoy!✌️

My favorite Le Veque book!

Where does The Wolfe rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

#1 but I've only listened to 3 audiobooks so far.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Jordan Scot because she's feisty & loyal & funny.

Which character – as performed by Guy Veryzer – was your favorite?

Jemma - she's a hoot & a half! I thought he captured her spirit very well.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Shut yer yap!

Any additional comments?

This is my all time favorite novel of Kathryn Le Veque's. It's very long, but I felt the narrator personified each of the individual characters very well. I especially liked his female impersonations, which is a little odd to hear a man speak for. He brought the ladies to life quite well, but I think that's also in part to the good writing & character development by the author. This audiobook took me weeks to finish, but it was worth it!

I laughed and cried and couldn’t turn it off. I loved this book!

I laughed and cried and couldn’t turn it off. I kept laughing right out loud and everyone would stare, I didn’t care. I loved this book. It kept me interested and motivated, I even listened in my car, which I’ve never done before. It made me feel good! I LOVED THIS BOOK!

Just couldn't finish this one.

I couldn't get past the narrator. My goodness the first chapter was long and drawn out. The further I got the worse it got.
