Audie Award Finalist, Romance, 2014

Nestled on the Oregon coast is a small town of rocky beaches and rugged charm. Locals love the land’s unspoiled beauty. Developers see it as a potential gold mine. When newcomer Hank Cooper learns he’s been left an old friend’s entire beachfront property, he finds himself with a community’s destiny in his hands. Cooper has never been a man to settle in one place, and Thunder Point was supposed to be just another quick stop. But Cooper finds himself getting involved with the town. And with Sarah Dupre, a woman as complicated as she is beautiful. With the whole town watching for his next move, Cooper has to choose between his old life and a place full of new possibilities. A place that just might be home.

Robyn Carr does it again!

Would you listen to The Wanderer again? Why?

Yes definitely! Robyn Carr and Therese Plummer are the perfect combination. Robyn Carr's books capture you from the start.

What did you like best about this story?

The love the character relationships. I found myself laughing out loud and getting strange looks from my children : )

What about Therese Plummer’s performance did you like?

Therese Plummer is one of my favorite narrators. She has the ability to bring a real voice to every character. I find myself getting lost in the voices she gives and she makes them believable.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I don't think there was a particular moment. The whole story line moved me.

Great story about friendship, love and small town

What did you love best about The Wanderer?

the location and the characters

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Wanderer?

When the women in Mac's life tell him how clueless he is when it comes to women was a hoot.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Life, Love and Friendship in a small town

Any additional comments?

This was a fun light book after reading/listening to several intense thrillers. The writing is great and characters were likeable. There is a small mystery but mostly this is a cozy read about friendship, love and a small town. After an old Army buddy dies Cooper goes to pay his respects to his friend at his home on the Oregon coast and finds more than he ever expected. I will have to read the next book in the series when it comes out later this year.

Too Much

The initial story concept was good but there was too much graphic sex by all of the characters.

This series has Potential !!

I liked Cooper when I first met him visiting Virgin River. Getting to know him better in Thunder Point was not a disappointment. This series shows a lot of promise of more heartwarming, fun-loving, and a little crazy love in a small eccentric community. I can't wait to see whose next on the "hit" list. Thanks, Robyn.

Good read

overall it was a good book. I prefer a male narrator. Some good plot twists and happy "endings" I wish the actual ending would have been better.
