I would definitely listen to this story again. It had an interesting, yet solvable mystery. The narration was really good. It was a clean story with characters that felt real for that time period.
This story reminded my of a light version of a Masterpiece Theatre movie on PBS. The narrator sounds like she really is British and not a pretender.

The story and narration made for a good listen. I would definitely download more Anne Ashley books, especially those read by Emerald O'Hanrahan.
A G-rated story with likable characters that started off strong but did fizzle out a bit midway through. The mystery took center stage but it was very obvious who the villain was and there were quite a few "Duh!" moments. I really prefer more physical interactions to my stories but though light in content, I ended this one feeling glad I had gone along for the ride. Narrator suited the story well.
