But things are about to change at Villa Giambelli. Tereza, the matriarch, has announced a merger with the MacMillan family's winery - and Sophia will be assuming a new role.
As a savvy businesswoman, she knows she must be prepared for anything...but she isn't prepared for Tyler MacMillan. They've been ordered to work together very closely, to facilitate the merger. Sophia must teach Tyler the finer points of marketing - and Ty, in turn, shows her how to get down and dirty, to use the sun, rain, and earth to coax the sweetest grapes from the vineyard.
As they toil together, both in and out of the fields, Sophia is torn between a powerful attraction and a professional rivalry. At the end of the season, the course of the company's future - and the legacy of the villa - may take an entirely new direction. And when acts of sabotage threaten both the family business and the family itself, Sophia's quest will be not only for dominance, but also for survival.

I'm a busy mom who loves to listen to books. Mostly I listen on my way to and from work.
Yes definitely and I already have.
There were so many good ones that it is hard to just pick one!
La Senora and Pelar and well all of them. She had a great accent and you always knew who was talking becaus she was that good at changing her voice.
It was just an overall good story with great love stories, a great family story, and a great mystery with good twists and turns.
A great listen, you won't be dissappointed.
Honor, death and love.
I liked the family business and the different interactions between family members and the running of the business.
When the true killer reveals why he/she did the killing. I don't want to give it away.
Be careful who you hurt, they may be crazy enough to really seek revenge.
This is one of her better books.
I have a busy career, travel a lot and don't have much time to read, so I listen to Audio books. I love reading!
As usual.. the typical mix of love, romance, treachery, murder, "I love you, I hate you, I never want to see you again.... and I love you forever".
A satisfying meal of Nora Roberts..
Yes if someone wants more of a romance novel than a mystery this a good book has strong characters and decent build up.
Her Italian accent
Yes I only got half the book
I never listen to audio books again but if I ever run out of things to listen to, I'll give this one another listen to.
The ending was the most memorable. I didn't see it coming at all. Without saying too much, I'll say that I thought the way the book ended was great.
She was able to switch from different voices and accents with ease. It made listening enjoyable.
Yes. It kept you on your toes.
I found the characters interesting and likable, though I didn't love them. The story kept my interest, and I found it enjoyable, though I found the ending a little disappointing.
I was concerned about the narrator, since I found her intonation quirky and rather annoying on the last audiobook of her's that I listened to. However, she did not use that intonation on this book, and I enjoyed her narration, especially after the beginning section.
Recommend to everyone, quickly! Very nicely written and carried
You won't believe the ending !
Merlington was the perfect narrator...oh that voice!
Couldn't stop listening. I found myself running errands just so I could listen without interruption from the family :)
perfect and predictable
the punky teenage girl because she was so contra to her image
I don't have a favorite, but she did a great job!
just a little bit.I did really like the story
Historical, romantic, memorable
I liked the way that dislike was turned into friendship, trust and love
Sometimes an author can make or break a story......this one was good!
Gee......Expect the unexpected
I truly enjoy most of Nora Roberts books and so does my husband.....we like the bit of history in a story and are always looking for a story with a punch and a good ending.
With so much violence, unrest, and economic times what they are, it is nice to get lost in a good story.
This is a classic Nora Roberts read. I love her novels as they keep me entertained and wanting to know what will happen next.
For me, I am a lover of wine and visit wine country often. I was fun to learn a little about the vines and wine making.
