Predictable plot with poorly developed characters and linear story progrssion that is less than believable at best. I listened to the end and then wondered why I bothered.
Most stories follow a predictable story line and this writer did not disappoint. In each scene, the plot progressed as I fully expected. While most people would find the predictable, mundane and boring; in the end, each character provides the listener with unusual insights. Character flaws that hinder and haunt them. Their outer scars don't compare to their inner hurts and pains. It was these reflections and imperfections that kept me listening. I found myself rooting for a pair, even when I knew the direction the story would lead me. Overall, I've scored this performance based on the worthiness of the characters and not the uniqueness of the story.
I made the mistake of buying this book without listening to the sample. Because the reader is so bad, I have been unable to finish the story. The boring tone destroys any pleasure you might get from the book
