Narration added to a nice story

I enjoyed the book - no it is not as complex or intense as the time travel in an Outlander or Time Traveler's Wife stories.... and yet between the narrator and the author I found myself engaged throughout the book. My American ears enjoyed hearing the language spoken in keeping with the book's location. The plot managed to take me by surprise at least twice.
I listen to books on my daily commute to work and the characters in this book were excellent company for the drive

Slow listening

Slow story. Quite a few times while listening, I realized my mind was wondering. Considered putting it down before it ended.

Interesting story

This story was different and soft love story from across the decades. Interesting outcome a little unexpected but it came together well.

Suspenseful, but also a Cozy Mystery and Romance

I loved this story from beginning to end. The first chapter, although sad, sets the stage well for the rest of the story.
There is plenty of suspense, but the story wrapped me like a warm, friendly hug.
I am attached to these characters and would love to learn more about Eva, Daniel, Claire, Marc, Susan, Felicity, Paul, and Oliver.
I am a big fan of time travel done well, and it is very well done here, with a touch of romance thrown in for good measure.
I love Nicola Barber as a narrator. She performed all the accents and characters with precision so you know who is speaking.
Ms. Barber also expertly narrates the “Call the MidWife” series, and many other books as well.
I hope Ms. Kearsley will write more about these characters!

Entertaining

This book was okay but it could have been so much more.
If the author would have only went into more detail of the characters & events this story would have been great.
This book was entertaining at best. I bought it on sale so it was a good buy.
