This was a very long and complex story. It became dull and was a bit all over the place with many many unnecessary characters. This story could have been much better. If you think you're getting a spy story you are sadly not.
As for the hero, I liked him well enough. The heroine I liked well enough as characters. But this story was so out strange and the back stories so strange it was not very engaging. The chemistry between Constance and Saint was forced and standoffish.
The story line and plot as stated above was way to complex and all of the place to really enjoy. Random things and happenings that never really came together. It was not easy to follow at all. One minute your okay I get it, then the next its like what is going on now?? Nothing seemed to flow very well. It seemed like random thoughts came to the authors mind and she wrote it down. Not a very enjoyable read.
As for the narration, it was great. I am a fan of Saskia Maarleveld. She does a great job on the men's voices and giving everyone their own distinct voice. (albeit this book had so many characters it seemed difficult task for her, so kudos to her!). She reads with emotion and has a nice reading voice.
